The only negative I can tell you is that the instructions are in like a 4 font size.  You have to use a magnifying glass to read it.  Which I then rewrote on a pad.  It also doesn't give you instructions to dispose of dye water once you are done (which I Googled to find out that it is safe to pour down the drain).  Just make sure you have a stainless steel sink or you could stain it.  The process of dying is well explained.  I had a 5 gallon bucket and a 20 gallon pot so I could heat some water to the 200 deg F as instructed and then pour it onto the clothes to dye, and then add the dye.  I also used latex gloves while handling to prevent hand staining.  The results were excellent on mostly synthetic material.

I haven't used dye in years. It works as it should %26 turned out to be a beautiful color. Don't be afraid to dye synthetic items.

I had a metallic gray dress I had worn previously to a wedding and wanted to re-wear it to another wedding we had to go to, so I dyed it blue.  I didn't know if it would take as it's nylon and lace, etc. but I went to the RIT website and followed their directions and it colored the dress beautifully.    I loved the color and think it came out this shade since the original color dress it was dying was a dark gunmetal gray.  I love the color and am keeping the dress to wear again in the future to yet another wedding as I love it so much.

This is great idea and the colors are rich and true. The only problem with this product is the fact that it requires maintained heat throughout the process which means it must be the stove top method. It is very hard to find a large enough pot for larger items, such as my curtains.
Since my pot wasn't large enough the color is splotchy and patchy. I am so disappointed as the color is perfect where it took properly.

One complaint!!

The color indicated by the bottle is not what I get when I followed the instructions give by the manufacturer to a T. The sapphire like blue I was looking for to turn a white garment that color resulted in a dull jeans-like blue that looks faded. I'll not be using this product anymore, even if I finally get something like what I was trying to get. Oh, that and it looks more purple than blue.
