I work in a GMP laboratory that requires indelible ink, so having a good quality ink that can handle solvents is a must! I put this to the test, and as expected there is no bleeding at all with a water soak (this is already performing better than Fisher's standard ink formula, which I also tried). In addition to that, only minor bleeding with more aggressive solvents like acetone and IPA, but the writing remains perfectly legible and clear. The writing experience is smooth and consistent, the ink dries fast, and there is no dry smudging at all (better than the Uni-ball Signo, which handles solvents well, but will dry smudge if rubbed). The color is a rich, deep blue that stands out. I've been using mine in a Fisher CH4 chrome pen, and it's a nice performance upgrade over the standard ink formula that originally came with it. If you're looking for a good, reliable ink that you can count on to both write with, and remain on the page, this is it!

The refills available allow you to maintain the Rite in the Rain pens. I also appreciate that they are still made in the USA. Very pleased with the product.

I'm waiting for the pen to run out. Been using the original pen for 3 weeks steady, already filled up a yellow spiral notebook. Hopefully the og pen tastes through a second notebook before I have to replace the ink. I'll let you know!

Easily, Fisher Space Pen's BEST Blue-Ink Cartridge. Simply, THE Best Ballpoint Ink Cartridge I know of.

I love the refills. I don't know if it's possible, but it would be nice if the refills could involve different widths, such as fine or bold.

Pen Refill

This has been my go to pen/pad brand and pen refill for 10 years.I have no idea how the seed was planted, but originally I wanted a pen that would work on the North Slope in the winter, and over potentially oily paper.It does pretty darn good over oily R inR paper pads, and is good temp wise to about -25,before it starts to freeze.Stick it inside your coat and your good to go

Works well write(!) out of the package! 
But your bolt-action pens only come in black ink, so I have to purchase the blue ink refill. I use blue ink as it makes it easier to differentiate between original docs and copies. Thanks for great field-oriented products!

No. 47R All-Weather Pen Refill

I use your pens to draw with. The quick drying perminant ink and my ability to draw from any angle and have ink flow to the paper makes it a perfect pen for me!

It's a perfect pen

This pen refill lasted only a few days, once in the pen it had only wrote a few inches of a line before it lost its pressure and would no longer work. I am extremely disappointed and unhappy with it. It was a complete waste of money.
