Works great. Added a 30 amp fuse which the instructions recommended that you do. Plus I added a kill switch. I did it all myself.  Maybe an added $15, but I won't have to worry at all about it draining he battery. I have to roll down the window once in a while because it gets too hot. It was going to cost me $2,000 to replace the heater in my F-150 truck, so this $70 was way cheaper.  To be fair, I live in Southern California and it is in the high 40s to low 50s right now in the morning. I can see out the windows to drive, but I cannot say how it would work in the mountains where it gets down to zero.

Hooked up as soon as I got tonight. Took a little bit.  Freezing outside (30 or so right now).  Mounted it on an extra particle board shelf piece I had laying around.  It sits right on floor in front of heat vent.  Heater coare partially blocked so I need some heat in my lesabre until I can get heat core replaced. With it in front of heat vent,  I turn the heat on w/ recirculate and it blows through the roadpro and increase heat circulation. Works fairly well, even on its on.  Not the same as the car heat but I don't have the car heat, and this is way better than nothing.  Those who say its worthless, I don't know what they were expecting or did, but I wouldn't say that at all. Wasn't expecting much and its actually pretty good so far.  Let's see how long it lasts, but the 2 yr warranty from walmart is only $5.   All in all,  I'm pretty pleased so far.  If it burns up in a week or two I'll be sour but if it lasts a while, like to spring, I'll consider it a great buy.

works pretty good but even better with vent power

I bought this for my Ram Promaster City camper van.  I sleep in a Big Agnes Lost Ranger 15 sleeping bag when it's cold.  The problem is when you get up in the morning.  I tested it last night when it was 37 degrees.  It didn't keep the van toasty, but it was a great improvement.  It only used 35 Amp hours for 8 hours of heat.  The two problems I have with the heater is that it doesn't have a thermostat, and the lead wires are aluminum instead of copper.  I added a thermostat and shortened the lead wires as short as possible.  This worked very well and there was no heat build up in the lead wires at all and the heater was on most of the night and did not turn off during the last 4 hours.  There's probably not a lot of danger of the heater providing too much heat.

Camper van heater

The bathroom in my motor home has no heat.  It is great to get up in the middle of the night and have a warm bathroom or take a shower and not freeze when you get out.  The only 2 problems is the way the wires come out of the heater, it doesn't allow you to mount it to the wall and the other issue is it is not thermostatically controlled

Heater is good quality but fan doesn't move much air. If you run it without the car running it will kill the battery in 10 minutes or so. But I bought it for my jeep and it's fine for what Im doing

Decent product

Must buy more items to install. Doesn't produce much heat at all. If I hadn't already installed it, I would return for refund. Not worth the time and money

The Switch for the Heater On  is buggy .. i switch it and it doesn't light up have to flip it back and forth for it to fire up the heat, while the fan works every time. needs better Quality Switches.

This might have been great, if it actually worked! And if you think that I didn't know how to hook it up I asked my son, who has a degree in electrical technology, to check it out, and his conclusion was that it was defective. It will probably be repackaged and sent to another unsuspecting sucker.

Didn't work!

I bought it as a temporary solution in a loader tractor that I'm using this winter. The tractor blower fan motor needs to be replaced, but it's too cold and my machine shed is unheated. I thought the Roadpro would put out some heat, but there is very little. I think I wasted $50.

Stays on constant no way to turn it off and on the heat setting fan is very weak  might send it back . .
