I got this for my cats. I fill up the bathtub with about 2-3 inches of water and let this thing swim around. My cats love watching it and eventually they are brave enough to get it out of the tub.

I purchased this as a decoration for a party with a fishing theme.  It is so cute and a perfect addition to the decor.  It swims well and moves on different levels in the water.  I recommend this item.

I got this as a gift for my kitty who loves to play in water. Immediate hit!

In a fishbowl, it swims around, dives and flips its tail intermittently. Similar to how a real fish will swim and rest. This toy seems to be weighted perfectly so it doesn't just float on its side on the surface.

Magnus was able to paw it out of the water and then it quit moving, which it's supposed to do in order to save battery life. Fish seems more motion activated than water activated though. Its tail will flip about out of water if you move it.

The packaging doubles as storage when not in play. The booklet that came with it is written in very tiny print, but does show how to replace the battery.

The body is a hard plastic but the tail is a softer,  chewable, rubbery material, which is something to keep in mind since little kids and furbabies alike have been known to chew on this type of material. They would do best to not be left unsupervised with this toy.

I had been hesitant to spend the money on a toy that may be a disappointment, but finally "took the plunge" and I'm glad I did!

Kitty loves his new toy!

Got this for my Golden while in his pool on these hot days.  I keep a close eye because I dont want him to swallow it but he bats and chases it in the water and loves it.

Cute toy.   It's small.

I keep one sink filled with water for the cats in the bathroom. I call it the lagoon. This toy was on sale, and I thought it might make a fun cat toy. I was right! I have four kitties, all enchanted and curious about the fish swimming in the lagoon. The fish will swim fast and then slow. Placing the fish in the water makes it go, and removing the fish from the water makes it stop.

This is a cute, fun novelty toy.  Kids enjoy putting it in water and seeing it swim on its own internal power.  It even alternates between faster and slower swimming.  Contact with water is supposed to trigger the tail to execute the back and forth swimming motion.  Sometimes it doesn't always work, but you can take it out of the water, dry it out and try again.

It states that its scales will change color in cold water but they do not, first thing we did was put it in a glass with cold water and an ice cube to test it and nothing changed. Other than that it is cute and works. My 2 year old grandson was fascinated by it in the tub. I am not sure it will last long but for the small price paid it is worth it while it does. I do however wish it actually changed colors like it states it will on the box!

it is very cute and my child was really excited to order it but it is extremely tiny. we were a bit disappointed at how small it actually was. the pictures make it look bigger.

These do not change color in water as stated on the website,  I ordered an orange one and a lilac one.  I received an orange one and a pink one.  The orange performs as advertised but the pink one is wimpy and a poor swimmer.  However they do amuse the cats for the short time they work.  I paid $9 each.  Definitely not worth more than that.

Almost worth the $

I wanted to like this, but it was heartbreaking watching my cats excitement dwindle after thirty seconds. This fish has a self timer and turns off after thirty seconds. You have to remove it from water and put it back in to reactivate. This is a highly overpriced product that stops working rapidly. I do not recommend this product because of the price, the battery life and the quality. I purchased two and one of them was defective.
