I bought this for my son once and he requested it again. He really likes how well this works for his slight spiking of his hair. The price was great for two of these!!!!

I am a Amazon Prime member and they could not touch this price on this particular product. Yes, the quantity is abundant but it will last two  years without loosing it's consistency. This is the only hair gel I will buy and have been for the last 15 years.

I am 82 and have fine, salt & pepper hair.  With a good cut I can get a spiky look.  With a small amount of this gel and a little water, I can get a style that lasts several days, by just running my fingers through it with a little water each morning.  I like this because it doesn't get gummy or sticky and doesn't make my head itch.  Great product!

The ingredients on here do not match what's on my bottle! I'm doing the curly girl method and made sure these ingredients were approved when I ordered this a few months ago and used up the whole bottle, not thinking to look at the ingredients list on the actual bottle when I got it. I picked up a new one from a different website and the formula is completely different! This one is not approved for curly girl method and I used a whole bottle not knowing. Pretty upset. Beware when you order this, it's not the right formula, this picture shows the ingredients on the bottle.

Wrong ingredients list

Biosilk supposedly updated the packaging for this product.  I have used it for years and was very happy with it.  Unfortunately you can't find it anymore.  It now comes in a totally different bottle.  It's supposed to be the same formula in a different bottle, but it isn't.  The old formula (Rock Hard Gel - Firm Hold) was pretty much clear and odorless.  The new stuff is kind of an orange-pink color and has a strong, unpleasant chemical odor.  The new stuff is alot thicker too.  I went to the Biosilk website and all they show is the new bottle.  I thought I had found a source of the old formula on Walmart's website, but they shipped me the new bottles.  I think Biosilk is going to lose a lot of customers over the change in formula.  Me being one of them.  :(

Not happy with the new Rock Hard Gel formula.

This gel was old. It was a dark color with a funny smell. Nothing like what have bought from my hairdresser in the past. I do not recommend.

Either it is counterfeit, or WAY past its sell-by.  It is the wrong color (brownish) and wrong texture (like lumpy Jell-O).  Normally a very good product, but useless tube.
