Excellent product with 100's of free channels. Saves me about $600 yr so it's definitely worth the cost. This is my third one and I've been enjoying ROKU for years with an estimated savings so far of approximately $3,000. No more cable or satellite tv for me.

Free TV

Samsclub.com

Great device to convert your dumb TV to smart in a snap! Despite its small size one can download most of the common apps (VUDU, YOUTUBE, YOUTUBE TV, AMAZON PRIME VIDEO, SPOTIFY, PANDORA, DISNEY, etc) You just need to create a Roku account. Or you can use the one already created. The only thing that takes some time is the first setup to activate the device and services.

Great device to convert your dumb TV to smart in a

This is my second Roku purchase. I find it really easy to use and it provides me with so many more options.

Very easy to set up and use!

I purchased 3 Roku express HD streaming, however only 1 worked w/o freezing during tv viewing. I will return the 2 for a refund. I am very disappointed in the performance of the 2 Roku Express HD streaming products.

Defected product

In the year that I've owned this unit I've had nothing but aggravation. Constant Wi-Fi issues and software crashes. My old Roku 2 XS was a far better experience. I don't live in a big house, nor is it built in a way to cause range issues. I don't have issues with other devices near it, yet I constantly get dropouts. These interruptions will often cause it to spontaneously reboot, though even just trying to play something will do that. It's not just a poor performer with Wi-Fi. Every channel will take several seconds to launch. It was almost instant on my old unit. Overall it's been a downgrade from a unit that was almost ten years old. Don't be enticed by the low price. Spend a bit more and get a unit with a better wireless chipset and faster CPU. As much as I've liked Roku over the competition, I can't help but feel somewhat soured by my experience.

Not worth it

roku.com

I bought this a few weeks ago. LONG TIME Roku 3 user using Ethernet connection or 5 GHz. The Express has no Ethernet port. Tore my hair out trying to connect to 5 GHz WiFi until found out on Forums this cheap ROKU toy doesn't connect to 5 Ghz. (NOT MENTIONED ON THE SALES PAGHE).

On default 2.4 GHz channels this takes forever to load, video sometimes stutters, and after resetting it as per instructions, the device "re-organized" my order of 150 channels that were alphabetized). DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

PS - ROKU web manager. this page is screaming “turn off ad blocking to submit review” when Firefox was set to NO BLOCKING, ALL TRACKING ALLOWED, blah blah blah. Plus your support forums are showing ALL TEXT as CENTERED.

terrible, slow, doesn't connect to 5Ghz WIFI

I have bought 2 of these in less than a year. The first one just stopped connecting to wifi and never would so I thought ok, you can get a lemon in anything. So I went to try to buy a roku stick but they were out of stock so, I had to buy another express. 2 months later, same thing. Will not connect to wifi. Called tech support. 20 minutes later it was determined that the roku express had an internal fault and would need to be replaced. AGAIN!!! Here's looking at you Firestick!!!

Garbage

Rebecca

While every other wireless device I have sees a strong wifi signal, the Roku sees a weak signal and insists I move my router which is less than 15 feet away. (It also sees only two networks when I know for a fact that there are a dozen in the vicinity.) The result is poor picture quality, frequent buffering, and apps that crash. I've tried all the suggestions in the forum, and nothing gets better - it's a really long thread going back over a year with no actual solution provided, just lots of people with the same problem, including noting that the device runs really hot. I've already done the factory reset once and really don't want to go down that road again.

Poor reception of strong signal

Stopped working out of the blue. Restarted the product and router. Nothing. Reset network settings and entered password. Nothing. Full factory reset. Nothing. It can detect my router just fine but cannot connect.

AND GET THIS!
When trying to contact customer service for this it says: There is no agent support available for your product and/or issue. Awful product.

Yes, I've reviewed all of the “articles”.

Can no longer connect to wifi

I bought this at the end of November and I haven't used it much at all since I'm not a big tv watcher. However 2/21/22 my device stopped connecting to the WiFi and that seems to be a common issue with this product. It says I have excellent signal strength and all my other devices are connected to WiFi except my Roku. I really hate that I invested in this device, not only because it doesn't work but because you can't even get in touch with any in support after you've followed all the troubleshooting steps that are pointless and don't work. Roku knows it's their devices that are horrible but they'll continue to say check your connection. Don't waste your time or money. And Roku, DO BETTER!!!!!

PLEASE DON'T BUY THIS!!! DOES NOT WORK
