Can last a long time, but may drain quickly in some cases.

Made to withstand rough handling and heavy use.

My son LOVES this train. We got it for him for a Christmas gift he spent the whole morning on it. He's one and a chunker and it's the the prefect size for him-  I would say 1-3 years old it's good for. Battery life is great hasn't died since we've got it.

Ride on train

Very easy to put track together and train holding up well to a 2 year who is not gentle with it! Steam that comes out of train, when water added, is not hot to touch! Also battery so far (Xmas present) has longevity! The reason I took one star away was because the forward-stop-backward switch for the train doesn't transition easily, switches like one smooth motion!
