I don't like to fiddle with fancy gadgets, therefore THESE are my choice, and always will be.  PLEASE keep making them Honeywell!  Thank you Walmart for stocking these!

The design of this thermostat is much more appealing and unobtrusive than standard outdated, boxy thermostats. I really liked the smaller, sleeker design. I especially liked that it came with a discreet round faceplate that was large enough to cover the hole from my pre-existing faceplate.

The installation instructions were also very detailed and concise, including colored pictures for clarity. I found these to be especially helpful having had no prior experience with thermostat installation.

Overall, I would recommend this thermostat for anyone looking to replace an outdated thermostat with one that is more modern and visually discreet.

This is a trusted brand and one I've purchased before for appliances. The packaging was secure and presentable as well as easy to open. I like the simplicity of this thermostat (classic) and the modern color. It doesn't have bells and whistles like other brands or models but these get the job done.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a simple thermostat to use... I have a digital one and do not like it... It would not work AC and by the time you try to trouble shut it I was totally confused. My AC outside motor got HOT and would not work? 
So... I bought this and luv it!

This is a really basic, old school thermostat. My parents-in-law's house still hasn't upgraded to a digital thermostat but they were in desperate need of a replacement. Although digital would've been preferred, this one seemed much easier to install and they wouldn't have to learn to operate a new system. Instructions are pretty basic. There's only really matching up the labels and wires. Super simple. Honeywell is a brand I trust since they're so well known when it comes to this sort of thing.

Basic thermostat with simple install

I wanted something that would fit the footprint of the previous thermostat & be a solid performer & good value. This product seems (haven't used it yet) to fit the bill. The experience of ordering & picking up the item ( I chose store pick up) was seamless. Good job Walmart!

Honeywell Thermostat

It is not entirely accurate.  It runs about 4 to 5 degrees cooler than you set it at for the summer.  As winter is not here yet, I don't know what the heat will be like, but, I set it at 80 degrees and it runs about 76 or 78 degrees.  Other than that, seems to be working great.

RUNS COOLER THAN IT IS SET AT

I manage rental property so I get to try out different brands of everything. This unit cannot hold up to the abuse that (its not mine why should I care) renters inflict on the property. I wanted non-programmable and no battery operation. Well no where on the box did it say battery required, but it has 3 volt CR2450 in it...why? The broken part is easy to fix if you can find a replacement dial. There are two plastic tabs that surround the pointer that turns the pot inside, one tab broke off and now it is stuck on cooling.
