[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay, so when I first picked this iron up I thought it was heavy... but now that I've used it I love it!  I actually like that it is a little heavy because it really get the wrinkles out and feels like it's well made.  The steam feature works great.  The auto-off feature is awesome.  The cord retraction works well... I hope it lasts for years because I actually enjoyed ironing with it :)

It's easy to fill with water and with all the micro steam holes, the steam comes out at a good pace and takes out wrinkles easily. By using the vertical steam, I'm able to take out the wrinkles on hanging garments. I like that it has an auto shut off in case I forget to turn it off. When I'm done ironing, all I have to do is press the cord reel button and the cord rewinds back into the iron for easier storage. It is the best iron I've had!

Works Perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 3 little kids so the most important features on a clothes iron are safety. Lots of irons have a shutoff if the iron falls over on it's side. But if an iron is still hot when it falls over then a 30 second timer won't save my kid. This iron solves that with an 8 minute standing sleep mode. I didn't realize until I read the instructions that if you leave it up for 8 minutes it turns off the heat. You can restart it by using it. But it's just so nice to know that if I forgot to turn it off it will turn itself off. I also really like the retractable cord because I can unplug and store the cord while it cools off. The last iron I had to leave the cord either hanging or wrapped up on the board because I usually store it with the cord wrapped around the iron and so I had to wait for it to cool off first.

The water hole is a little small to try to pour into. But there's really no way around that if you want steam. And you do really need to wait for it to get all the way hot before using the steam. Overall I'm impressed with how it ironed my work shirts and I appreciate the auto shutoff.

Great iron, love the safety features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Rowenta Iron seems to be a good choice and has some really good features. The first thing I really like is the number of steam holes on the plate. There are a ton of them so the steam comes out with a burst of power and has plenty of places to come out of the iron.  The tip of this iron is the most precise I've ever used. It does a really good job of getting in between the buttons on my shirts to iron out those tough to reach places. It's also great for smaller areas like shirt collars.  The iron heats up fast when I use it and it has a pilot light that goes out letting you know the iron is hot and ready to use. It has multiple safety auto shut offs which is great. It shuts itself off when it sits idle upright for too long, is horizontal, or mistakenly tips over.  The water reservoir holds about a cup of water so I can iron multiple items without having to refill it.  The reservoir is also covered to help with leaking back over what you've already ironed. I think this feature going to come in handy when ironing multiple things and has been a problem in the past with other irons.  There are a couple of features that I like on the iron but feel they could be improved upon. The first is the cord reel. I love that it coils up into the bottom of the iron and I don't have to worry about figuring out how to wrap up the cord. This keeps it from snagging on stuff or taking up extra room. What I don't like as much is that I feel like it is not as smooth as it could be. It takes multiple times of hitting the button and getting it to retract into the iron and it seems choppy as it coils up. The other thing I felt was difficult to use on the iron was the temperature control. I felt that it was somewhat difficult to get to and adjust. I think that this is something that I will get used to the more I use it and do not see it as a big reason for not choosing this iron.  Overall, I think this Rowenta Iron is great quality and is going to be easy to use and help me not dread ironing those shirts and pants so I can wear them.

Heats Fast, Gets Wrinkles Out, and Easy Storage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With consignment season coming up, i've been able to use the iron pretty hardcore this past week and i pretty much love it!
The water fill has a lid that snaps shut to prevent leakage ( which my last iron did A LOT) and i love how there are tons of smaller steam holes distributed over the plate as i feel those hard set wrinkles come out quicker in less strokes.
It's sleek and stylish even with the bulk at the bottom for the cord... which comes to my reason for only 4 stars... As you might expect from this type of system, the cord does get jammed, so may need to be fed back in for storage. I wish it had a threaded type cord covering which may lessen the chances of jamming occurring but hey, it's a small issue compared to its positive features. 
Overall, i'm happy with it as it outperforms my old iron and would recommend it to anyone

Style AND function

While this iron works very well, because the purple plastic tank is so dark, I find it almost impossible to see the water level.  I've overfilled it many times, dripping water all over.  If the tank was easier to see through, I would give it a very favorable rating.

What a poor design of the water tank.. It is dark blue and impossible to see the water level.
Also the iron keeps spitting out white flakes.  The manual said it would only do that the first time it was used.  Well, 20 times later it is still spitting out white flakes.

Disappointed

I bought this iron a week ago and have to say I am very disappointed in the quality. first I found it very difficult to fill the water tank and know how much water I put in it. You cannot see the water through the dark plastic. I find the temperature setting very difficult to see it very difficult to set compared to the previous irons I have owned. Would not recommend this iron
