The Royal Sovereign 70-Pint Dehumidifier we recently purchased at Wal-Mart works like a charm. We connected a hose to the back of the dehumidifier allowing the water to drain directly into the laundry tub. Our old dehumidifier stopped working and the musty smell quickly became overwhelming in our basement. The Royal Sovereign quickly cleared the air of dampness and odor. I will have to wait to comment on the longevity of this appliance.

I bought another house and I am remodeling, It was very hot and humid this summer and the basement was sweating moisture. I'm talking about dripping from pipes and lights, anything that is not wood, was wet. Got this dehumidifer and was dry the next day

Worked great

I have two rooms that seem to get a little damp every summer. For several years I'd been lugging one dehumidifier back & forth between two rooms, not wanting to spend a couple hundred on another unit. Then I saw this Royal Sovereign. Never heard of the brand but with so many companies merging and buying each other out, none are the same anymore. I loved the price and always feel if there is a problem, I can do a no hassle return at Wally World. It is a very nice unit! It is only a little smaller than the Frigidaire and much quieter. It appears well made and the controls work well, are easy to use. And it does not do that annoying ten screeching beeps when I remove the bucket to empty, like the Frigidaire does. Yay! Why in the world would a company think an appliance has to screech when you are standing right there??!! Love this!

compact size dehumidifier, quiet

This is my first dehumidifier purchase, I did a little research. This one fit my needs the best and the price was perfect. No more musty basement smell.

Perfect for my basement.

Great small dehumidifier for my small one bed garden apartment. Carpets felt a bit damp from humidity and concrete floors and walls. After running the dehumidifier for a couple of days. It's so much better and so comfortable. Easy to use and maintain. Decent price compared to other big home improvement stores.

Perfect small dehumidfier for my one bedroom apart

This has a 6 pint holding bucket. I did not see that written anywhere when I ordered this. This would be a pain in some settings. They all should list the size of the holding bucket. This was a learning experience for me. 30 pint does not mean 30 pint holding bucket. 30 pint means it will remove 30 pints in 24 hours.

6 Pint

The Royal Sovereign 30 pint dehumidifier only collects 13 cups of water which is 6 pints and 1 cup NOT 30 pints very disappointing emptying way to often. Also, the pricing when researching for this unit, searched under google "Dehumidifier 30 pints" Walmart came up as $98.00 on 7/18/14 DID NOT order at that time BIG MISTAKE because 2 days on 7/20/14 when I ordered, the Walmart price was $141.46. I checked the days following my order and on 7/21/14 price was $138.58, on 7/22/14 price $138.58, on 7/23 $142.41, 7/24 $138.53, 7/25 $137.05, 7/26 $137.05, 7/27 $132.60, 7/28 $141.46, 7/29 $142.10, 7/30 $139.22 AS YOU CAN SEE THERE ARE PRICE CHANGES EVERY DAY ???? I will be calling the Walmart.com for an explaination as to the prices changing.

Dehumidifier Does not collect 30 pints

Works great, does what it's supposed to do efficiently. The only drawback is that the reservoir is so small one ends up emptying it at least 3 times a day.

It is running fine so far but you do have to empty the tank ofen because its so small.  The whole think is cheap plastic and Im afraid of breaking it when I put the holding tank back.  It dosnt slide in smoothly.
It comes with a hose attachment which I cant use for the room it is in.

This is an awful excuse for a dehumidifier. The container where the excess water goes is so small that it has to be dumped a minimum of four times a day. It is a big hassle to deal with. For a 70 pint, I expected something bigger than this was.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!
