Great system, just picked up one rail to try after having such good luck with the fasttrack wall system, then went right out and bought 6 more rails. i have 24OC stud spacing so it fits great, and is very sturdy. hoping to get everything off the floor and onto the walls. install was easy, my only complaint would be it doesn't come with hardware, only the rail itself

Very nice

I just installed three 48 inch rails and one 84 inch rail. Took me all of 45 minutes. It could not have been easier. It's the most economical system on the market. I agree that the last hole on the rail does not line up but seriously, is that a huge deal??? I just made sure to use an anchor at the end and I double dup on the three other studs that I did hit, I put one screw in above and below, problem solved....I'm hanging extension cords and shovels not 100 lb. dumbbells! Love the product.

The most important part of the system is the rail.  This metal rail is very sturdy.  I gave it 4 stars because no screws were provided for installation.  That should be included with the rail.

Screw less

This is a great system overall. I agree with the others that the length of the 48" rails do not work well with the the typical 16" stud spacing. You shouldn't have to angle the screws to hit the studs as the Rubbermaid representative as been saying in these comments. When I installed mine, i centered the rail on the middle of 3 studs, and screwed into the 3 studs. That left an 8" overhang beyond the studs on each end of the rail, for which I used 2 drywall anchors (one top and bottom) at the last holes at each end of the rail. I will not be hanging anywhere near the rated weight, so this configuration works very well. I ended up butting 2 or 3 of these rails end to end, and this configuration worked very well for that as well.

Good system, except for match'g stud spacing

Overall, I like the FastTrack system. I installed it in my garage last week and it neatly holds laundry items and various tools. However, the rail is flawed - it should have been 49.5" long instead of 48". Following the instructions, I got the edges of the rail lined up with the centers of the studs. But that means the rail holes are at the edges of the studs, and even the tiniest error means your screws will miss the studs. That's a poor design choice on Rubbermaid's part. Why not make the product safer by slightly increasing the rail length, so the holes would neatly line up with the centers of the four studs?

Good product with a design flaw

As a lot of other reviews had said, they needed to make it 49 inches, with the last holes 48 inches apart. I have 16 inch studs and it will not work in all studs. If using it as a rail only with low weight I wouldnt have a problem using an anchor for the last one, but I was using it to hold storage racks which would have made every hole on the verical rail need to be off the stud as well. Seems like something so basic would be obvious...

Looks good , but major flaw

The 48" rail needs one more hole to be perfect. Great product otherwise but needs one more inch and one more hole to be perfect. Shame that wasn't addressed before being put into mass production, such a simple fix that probably will never be addressed. If that's offensive, prove me wrong!
