i've used FastTrack system before and had no difficulty with fastening it to the wall. I spent a lot of money purchasing a new FastTrack system to install in my new home.  Everything went up great; however, the only problem is the little caps at the end of the shelves. When you buy them,  they are in a bag with anchors, screws and a mixed bag of caps. There is not enough small and medium size caps. As a result, I needed to purchase additional caps but had no need for all that hardware. 
 Why should I pay for unnecessary parts that will not be used?  RubberMaid, how can you help me with this problem?

I bought two of the 16" deep pantry kits because I wanted deep shelving for my garage. I have the home-free stuff in the house which is awesome so I thought I'd give this a shot (P.S. if you have home-free shelving, it is compatible). I understand people's frustration with having to man-handle the shelving (would have been 5 stars but had to knock off some points for ease of use) onto the brackets but once they are locked on, they aren't coming free and they are far more stable than the homefree stuff. I am going to get some of the 20" deep shelving on the other side.

It works well for my garage.

I bought some fasttrack shelving and bkts a couple of years back reasonable product but not cheap. Went to store and bough some more bkts and they are not different as the new wire shelving is made with smaller diameter wire..
Old 12 bkt  is FG3Q66LWWHT newer brackets for smaller diameter wire shelves is 1959952.  Cant find old bkts online.  So if you are handy and can work safely with 
tools I traced the centre slots and removed material using a dremmel.
So sad that I have to do this as I refuse  reward rubbermaind for my inconvenience  and  purchase the new cheaper made wire shelves to accomodate the new bkts

Short Product Life Cycle - Shelf Brackets

I purchased this shelf to use in my laundry room.  I wanted a heavy duty shelf so I purchased a 6 ft by 16 inch shelf and used 4 brackets.  It is a joke to say that these are in any way easy to install if you need more than 2 brackets.  Two people worked together unsuccessfully for over an hour to install the shelf.
What finally worked was to attach the brackets to she shelf first and then put the shelf in place.  Since an easy way was found to install the shelf I am glad I purchased it but I only gave it 3 stars because the directions were basically worthless.

Definitely not easy!

New brackets do not fit old shelf.  Old shelf had larger gauge center wire and new brackets have small slot center.  Why did you change to a cheaper gauge where you force the customer to have to buy new shelf just to replace a bracket.  Looking for old style bracket.

FastTrak brackets

The new bracket style is much thinner and cheaper and doesn't accept the dowel rod accessory that the old ones do.   They're almost much more difficult to remove.  What a shame.   I guess they saved some money on manufacturing but really sacrificed quality with these.

Really disappointed with the new brackets

My decorator purchased these shelves at Lowes and had a contractor install them. If I had any idea what we were getting into I would have returned them. The way that the brackets attach to the shelf is illogical, frustrating, and could cause a divorce in the right circumstances. A sadist designed this bracket. I have other Rubbermaid shelves that are easy and make sense. These are absurd.

Divorce-causing design

I wanted to replace one of the brackets on my 20" shelf & found out that the new brackets have a smaller slot in the bracket than the wire on my old shelf has. Looks like a smaller gauge wire was used on the newer shelves. I had to replace the entire shelf and all the brackets. Older brackets were a lot sturdier & had more slots. Not a happy camper especially, since all my closets have Rubbermaid FastTrack organizer shelving & also have the Garage FastTrack shelves

New brackets don't fit older Fast Track shelves.

I've very disappointed in rubbermaid. They newly designed brackets won't fit in older nor the newer fasttrack supports that i purchased from lowes. I love the shelving and have it in several places at my home but hate to think I'll have to purchase all new hardware just to add to my shelves. I'll be moving to another manufacture if I have to go this route.

Poorly thought out redesign

I have been back and forth to Lowe's almost daily trying to get the brackets to work. I have tried 12" shelves and 16" inch shelves with the appropriate brackets. I tried wardrobe shelves and free-slide shelves, and even attempted to use a linen shelf just to see if I could get it in the brackets. I was not able to get the shelves in the brackets by myself, and even my husband had trouble with them. If I could have given them a 0 for ease of use I would have. This product claims to be easy to use, and if you look at the brochure it looks like any one can do it. I was very disappointed.
