Five star laundry basket/system! This recent purchase of 4 baskets is actually my second set. My first set lasted over 10 years. I had to replace them as they were located in a high traffic area (my bad) and the kids knocked them over one too many times, which finally resulted in cracked corners.

10 years of daily use in a large household shows how durable the baskets really are!

We use our 4 to sort: Whites, Colors, Darks, and Jeans- so sorting and grabbing a load of laundry is a cinch!

Husband built a laundry cabinet specifically for these Rubbermaid stacking baskets, so I can expect many more years of use from this set, and they'll be safe from high traffic.

Very happy with my purchase. I purchased 5 of these Rubbermaid Stack-n-Sort baskets.  The laundry basket size I would say is standard. If you are used to a large laundry basket then consider this basket medium sized. It holds a full load of laundry for our household of 2 people. I've attached 2 pictures showing 4 of the 5 baskets stacked. The bottom 2 baskets are full (towels, jeans, sweatshirts) to show how the baskets stack when full vs. empty. The image used to show the product on the website doesn't give an accurate depiction of the spacing between the baskets when stacked. Which is why I included 2 pictures at 2 different angles. 

     This basket is made up of a solid, sturdy, hard plastic base and two moving handles (handles tilted outward to carry, tilted inward to stack). The basket itself is NOT the standard rectangular shape. The pictures don't show this well but, the back side of the basket is straight and flat while the front is angled (out) and curved. When the baskets are empty they can be stacked with the handles outward for more compact storage. These baskets do NOT lock into place. For the intended use of stacking laundry they work great! I've stacked several baskets full of laundry with our 2 playful dogs around and there wasn't an issue of the baskets being knocked over. 

I would definitely purchase these baskets again.

Great laundry basket, would purchase again!

Stackable basket are the best. I bought 10 baskets and stacked them in 2 sets of 5. Now i can sort as i go and just grab a basket on laundry dsy. Keeps clothes off the floor and saves time because i dont havd to sort on laundry day. This system works well for me! Only negativd is the baskets were redesigned a little and they stick out further after stacking 5. More than the ones i baught a few years ago

Laundry made easier

We ordered 4 of these because they were stackable and would fit in the closet at our office. We were looking for a better way of storing and easily accessing various packing materials. We use one bin for small bubble wrap, one for large bubble wrap, one for air cushions, and one for paper. These are perfect! The slightly lower, bowed front makes it easy to see and grab what we need from each bin. This was a much cheaper option for us than some of the industrial hopper type bins we looked at too. Could easily see ordering more  for sorting laundry at home. My only negative comment: Walmart sent them each in a separate box. What a waste of time and resources!. They should have nested the 4 together and shipped them in 1 box.

Perfect for the office!

These are exactly what I was looking for! I have a VERY small utility/laundry/Pantry room. The have saved so much space, I never have to move the hampers and they keep the clothes organized!

These baskets stack so they save on space. Also, they are sturdy. This is a great way to presort laundry and keep this neat in my very small utility room. I highly recommend these.

Helped me organize my very chaotic laundry room! As a mother of 3 very small children, laundry was quickly becoming overwhelming! Now it is so simple to sort there clothes..I even use them for my husband and I too!

my teenage daughter refused to use her dresser but I couldn't deal with seeing her clothes in a heap on a floor.  This was a good compromise.  She puts her tops in the top basket and her bottoms in the, wait for it... bottom basket.  I'm thinking about getting one more for her under garments and PJs.

perfect for our needs

I love these baskets. Sorting laundry has been very efficient. I bought a 6 pack of these baskets and I wish I found these sooner. The only thing I wish is that these baskets were just a bit larger. I don't do laundry every weekend so my piles tend to be a bit bigger, but I'm still very satisfied with this purchase.

A great product

I really like this product with three children it really simplify things. I hate going through piles of dirty laundry.. The size is perfect for a full load. I thought they looked small when I first received them but they are good size. It's super easy to just grab them by the handles and head down stairs knowing they are already sorted and the right amount of clothes. Makes it really convient to start a load on my way out the door. Also being able to fold them and put back in that basket for each individual child keeps them tidy before they actually get put up. Before there  would be clean clothes all over the room. Only down size is I think that 15 for one basket is ridiculous! But I bought more just yesterday which shows you people will pay to make life convenient....

Makes life simple agian

I wouldn't recommend this item, basket keeps falling over, it doesn't hold weight of the clothes unless it is very light although basket is very roomy.

it doesn't work for me.
