They are translucent so you are able to see what is in the container. The handles are really nice. They come up and lock the lid securely and don't hurt your hand to open. The containers are approximately 19” x 11” x 11”. The perfect size to hold a lot but not enough to be so heavy you can't lift it. I would highly recommend these Rubbermaid 30 quart containers.

Our kids are creatives and we are using the boxes to store craft materials and art supplies. The boxes are large enough to hold many items without being so large that they are too heavy or awkward for our children to easily manage.
