I have been using LUNCH BLOX for my (now) 6 & 4.5 year olds for over two years. I have the original sets that I purchased, and they are still in good shape. They seal well, but are still fairly easy to open (my younger daughter need help sometimes when she was 2.5). So far, they have been leak-proof for saucy or juicy foods. For kids, the middle "side" size is most useful, so I just purchased two more.

I bought the Salad Kit - it has been great so far. I love how easy it makes bringing a salad for lunch - the tray makes it easy to keep the 'crunchies' separate from the rest of the salad so they don't get soggy.

Awesome kit

Great for a preschool lunchbox; it's easy to portion and label items, and the integrated ice packs work well as a system.  I own many pieces from this collection; it's durable too as it's already made it through one year of preschool.  I just ordered a new set because I am getting lazier about washing and wanted another set in rotation.

My lunchblox container for salads cracked its lid after 5 years of daily use.  I order two new ones from the website as my local grocery market no longer carries this size container.  Quick delivery of an exceptional item!  Keep it 'Made in USA' and I'll keep buying.

These containers have some features that put them above the competition.  I use the 1-cup and the 1/2 cup "sauce" containers to pack lunches that go into a backpack.  First, these sizes are great.  The smaller ones are perfect for a sensible portion of yogurt, and the larger ones hold plenty of an entree for a desk worker ;-).  I love that the foot of a filled container snaps into the lid of its bottom neighbor, and the seals are pretty good.  They will leak water if placed sideways, but here is the greatest part: they don't have to go sideways!  Other bento-type lunch containers are flat and have to load sideways into a backpack.  This means leakage.  These guys go in stacked upright, so no leakage.  Brilliant.  Well made and well worth the money.

Best lunch containers for us

I bought it for my hubby's lunch box.
Even tho it is designed for kid, it is still good enough size someone on a diet.
can use and dishwasher top lack and lid is tight enough.
0.5 cup size container is a bit small than i expected but its good for about 8 pcs small carrot and and fill with blueberries.

Great size for light lunch.

I needed a tight fitting container set for twins that are now 8 , and a teen for school . 
I do really like the containers .....but if your looking for a tight fit on the lids to secure contains to each other, they don't  snap tight.  Ice block is good idea also.

I bought several lunch sets and wanted more of the sandwich size.  I'm glad I could buy them separately.  Only downside: Containers become rigid when frozen and then can break if dropped while frozen.

Very disappointed in these.  We have the older version with the red tops and they are airtight.  These green ones leak.  My wife makes my lunch and puts tomato slices and pickles in the containers.  When you squeeze them you can hear the air going in and out. I honestly expected better from Rubbermaid.
