A very good wheelie bin for the money. The wheels are quite small, and the sides and lid made of thin (but flexible and durable) plastic. These features may be a problem for anyone throwing out very heavy things, but this bin is very useful for my household use. Looks nice too! I also liked the free, fast shipping.

Sturdy and functional

i bought this trash can on wheels today . And I love the design of the lid molded into the handle 50 gal model..
The thickness of the material is thicker then my old 32 gal model and I still use it  That one is at least 20 years old.    The best part about it is    Its made in the USA

I bought this about a year ago and the wheel has fallen off. Otherwise, it has been a great garbage can. I wish the lid was attached to it as the garbage men don't put the lid back on after emptying.

Poor durability of wheels

I purchased these for a rental property t

They have good capacity, but the bottom corners tend to break after a year or two, and the lids if not attached securely blow away and no Replacements seem to be available.

No replacement lids

I have at least two 45 gallon rubbermaid hinged trash cans and have been unable to use them for some time because their lids were destroyed. I've searched through the web and only round ones are available. Where can I find a lid only? Replacement lids for 45 gallon trash cans

One bang from the garbage truck and the wheel fell off and the cap fell off with the garbage truck. I need a new cap to hold the wheels on. Not even a year old!

Poor quality

This is a piece of junk.  It does not withstand holding vegetation, it falls over even with nothing in it.  This is a waste of money and Rubbermaid should be embarrassed to sell such a defective and poor product.

TERRIBLE

Call me crazy, but these lids don't lock. Silly me I should've tried it in the store. They just sit on top and after one night outside, both of my brand new kids were blown off and were off the back porch on the lawn. The squirrels has a nice buffet, so that's something positive- for the squirrels.

Locking lid? Seriously?

Like others, I bought these due to good life from previous Rubbermaid trash cans. Very disappointed. Lids are too thin, and the squirrels are very attracted to this plastic and have chewed through two lids in numerous areas. I have had Rubbermaid trash cans for 13 years in this location and these are the only ones that the squirrels are attracted to chew on.

Wheels also need to be larger diameter. The entire item just isn't built as heavy as it should be.

THIS PRODUCT REPLACED A SUPERIOR PRODUCT, ALTHOUGH EVEN IT HAD ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT. BIGGER, WIDER SET WHEELS FOR ROUGH TERRAIN-NOT EVERYONE HAS PAVED DRIVEWAYS. I MUCH PREFERRED THE TWO HANDLES THAT LOCKED, AND I COULD GRAB THE LID EASILY AFTER SETTING IT DOWN TO PUT THE GARBAGE IN THE BIN. I JUST USED THE NEW CAN FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HEAVY SNOW-YOU CAN IMAGINE HOW WELL THAT WENT..........MJ88
