This was exactly what I needed! And it's Rubbermaid why do I need to say anything else! I think these things were originally designed to be fairly short usage time but they hold up really well!

I have had one of these five cup bowls for over 2 years. it's just now getting to the end of its life hence the purchase! it's still seals excellently and has not fallen from its obligation to untiringly deliver this quality everyday! I have some of the permanent stuff too but I use it differently than I use these and I love that this is perfect for people on a budget are people who actually breathe air!

the quality and usability are unbelievably High!

Very versatile, useful product. I use these Rubbermaid TakeAlong containers every day. I put cooked or leftover food  in them, and I also use them for other items in my household, such as a sewing kit, snacks, craft items, baked goods (great for muffins),  and anything else. I also freeze items in these . When I travel, I always take them to contain my medicine bottles, or anything else. Use your imagination, and look around your house. Small toys? Place them in the containers. Many uses, every day.

Versatile, useful storage product for everything!

Very good containers with covers that stay sealed.  I use them often for leftovers or potlucks at work. They microwave very well and can be dishwashed on the top shelf to allow for several usages before they final need to be replaced.  I love them and recommend them as reusable even though they are cheap enough to be disposable if needed.

These containers are awesome.  From table to fridge and or freezer. When freezing like when I make spaghetti sauce or chili,  I use these.  I out a puce if masking tape double back on lid with contents and date.  Keeps contents fresh!!!   Just love em!!!!

You cannot go wrong with Rubbermaid products.  These eight cup food grade containers are so helpful for make ahead soups and meals.  I eat a bunch of foods that usually stain other containers.  But Rubbermaid has made containers that do not stain, if by chance red chili or tomato sauce do leave some mild stain a bit of Dawn dish liquid and baking soda soak clean them like new.  They freeze well with a tight seal.

Must have!

One of two sizes I use for food storage and freezing. They handle a fair amount of product, freeze evenly, and last. Don't make the mistake, as advertised, that they're good straight to microwave because they usually "blister" in the microwave. Until I paid attention and noticed, I would use the ruined units as dry storage.

Perfect for sending leftovers to work with my husband for lunch and not worrying that they won't make it back home. They stack easily for storage and in the fridge. They have enough sturdiness that they don't bend or shift during transit. They are durable enough that they can be hand washed and reused multiple times.

Rubbermaid TakeAlongs, 8 Cups, 2 Packs

These were the perfect size to store Family Snack Mix on the drive down to Hatteras Island.   
Bagged snack mix or homemade,  these containers are the perfect solution. 
They are very sturdy and last - and if you forget them on vacation,  you won't be bummed out you lost Tupperware. 
The lids are reliable,  and easy close,  even for my Grandmother's arthritic hands.
Bonus,  you can let the kids use them for shells without fretting you're losing expensive  containers. 
I highly recommend these,  they are a great bargain for your money and they last!!!

These work well, look good and the seal is acceptable. They hold a decent amount and are space saving in the fridge. Cons: They stain badly when tomato/meat based food is stored (chili and spaghetti, etc.) and when I used them to heat Rice-A-Roni in the microwave the bottom melted. Good containers, but know their limitations.

Good overall

The plastic is very thin on these. The container didn't even last being washed before use. Picked it up  and the top sides were cracked  in some places where the lid meets the container to snap it shut. There was nothing in the dish water but my containers. Used regular hot water from the tap and the other storage containers purchased from another brand were just fine. Unless it was a manufacturer defect, they are too thin for normal use.
