The colors of the tiles are easier to see than most Rummikub sets. The tin it comes in is amazing. Been playing Rummikub for decades and this is my favorite set.

Retro Rummikub

Colors were easy to differentiate and numbers were embossed so I dont have to worry about the paint wearing away. Nice to have a metal box to store game in instead of cardboard which would eventually tear. Tile stands worked well also

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After being introduced to this game by family members, I bought this version for three reasons: 1)the numbers were larger 2)the blue numbers were more distinct from black than in other versions, and 3) it came in a cute metal box.  This game is a nice mix of strategy and "luck of the draw," and lends itself to cultivating multifaceted math skills!  The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that I would prefer it came with a bag for drawing new tiles.  You could stack tiles like cards (but that takes a while); you could put in a messy heap (but that takes up needed room for laying out your runs and matches;  or you could draw from the box (but it's noisy because of the metal.  So I will be making a drawstring bag!  I like how smooth and cool the tiles feel, and I'm sure they could be handwashed every once in a while as needed.
