Although I've only used this once, I used it on multiple surfaces and it worked wonderfully. I used it on hardwood floors which cleaned it but did not leave the floor wet, ceramic tile, and carpeting.  The lights are an excellent feature too. It has a large water tank which makes it nice because it does not keep needing refills as you are working.

It heats up in seconds, the mop head is a good size, and I especially love the material in the mop pad and that it just sticks on with velcro. A huge improvement over the Bissell I replaced it with.

I bought this steamer to clean my laminate floors and have been pleased with the results. It is easy to use, not too heavy when full of water and does a great job removing spots from dog drool. Heats up quickly to produce steam.

Excellent steamer

I like it. Bought another for a back up. Takes spots off tile floor. On the carpet helps to lighten it, but doesn't remove the spots on high traffic areas. When reading the reviews of this product regarding the cap coming loose and dripping water I made sure that the cap clicked in and did not have a problem with it coming apart except when the mop handle was at 108 degrees to get under furniture. Heats up quickly, floor is dried instantly. I am happy with it :-) I was disappointed I couldn't find the extra pads to buy when I ordered my 2nd mop.

The steamer Haan floor steamer for many years suddenly stopped working. In the need for a new one, I started researching floor steamers. When I came upon this Salav floor steamer. I was impressed. I have vinyl plank flooring in my living room, dining room and kitchen. I was able to clean my floors without refilling the tank. The style is very sleek. The amount of steam is incredible. It is easy to handle and does a great job of cleaning the floors. The one feature that I don't like is the placement of the cap for the water tank. The tank is located on the back of the steamer. When you go to clean under furniture, it tends to open and a little water leaks out. Other than that, I love this floor steamer and would buy another one if I needed it. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Great product.

Great steam mop hard surface and carepts

This steam mop works well. It begins steaming within 45 seconds. On high, one tank of water lasted long enough to do my average-sized kitchen floor. The mop comes with 2 pads, and I ordered 2 additional ones. The pads are thick and attach securely with Velcro. The mop is lightweight and easily maneuverable. I wish the cord were longer. I have to unplug and go to another outlet to reach my entire kitchen floor. Overall, I'm pleased with this purchase.

Good Steam Mop

The steamer is awesome both on floors and carpet. The plastic clip that is supposed to hold the top of the handle to the base unit snapped off just out of the box when I attached it. So, when you are steaming and extend the steamer to clean an area of floor, the bottom of the steamer falls out of the handle. It's quite annoying and you have to re-attach the handle with each extension of the steamer. The steamer itself does a wonderful job. The company needs to address this issue and recall the handle to replace this faulty piece.

So far so good. I do not think it would work if your floors were really dirty however great for a quick clean. I use on hardwood and tile. I read some reviews where there was an issue with the cap on the water tank. I found you just need to make sure it "pops" close. Only wish the cord was longer.

Good purchase at the price offerred..

Bought this machine two weeks ago -- have a very active family. First time I used it, there was an exceptional amount of water on the tile -- the plug was not fully inserted - it leaked - the plug is round, the reservoir is oval, so getting it to "snap" in place is not easy -- perseverance. Was going to return it. I called Salav, they gave the hint of not going to maximum in water capacity, and turning/squeezing the plug should make it work. The leaks stopped, after I did not fill the reservoir to the maximum, and twisted the plug (many tries) to get it to snap into the oval reservoir. It works, but I might return it because of the plug problem. Mopping a floor is not my thing, & I thought this would save the wet mop & bucket -- might go to a Shark -- it's cheaper. Time will tell.
