The setup was by far the easiest I've ever had. It was plug and play right out of the box. The picture quality is superb. Even shows that were created before HD have crip resolution. I think we are going to purchase a sound bar to enhance the movies we watch.

All the praise about the Mini LED technology is true. Picture clarity and color are both awesome. Setup was a breeze with the remote, and the Samsung easily identified my other devices, including DTV, so the Samsung remote controls all of the devices. Soo refreshing. Highly recommend this unit, and in my opinion, worth every bit of the very reasonable price.

AWESOME 43 Inch Class Mini LED M70H 4K Samsung TV

Almost perfect

We bought this television about 2 weeks ago and we were blown out by the contrast. The colour's really pop and it seems like your watching in 3D. Which your not, but that is an amazing picture. We had a 55" curve Samsung that we enjoyed, but was too big for our viewing area. So we downsized and I have been noticing the mini leds coming on the market. I didn't expect it to be so pin point. The set up was really easy and set it up to my phone through smarthings. I would highly recommend upscaling to the new mini leds.

Fantastic TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great tv. The mini led technology really makes a huge difference from the traditional lcd tvs. This has been great for gaming. Most other tvs have bad blur or lag when turning around while playing a game This tc has zero issues and tge cloorls really pop. The contrast is great too. No more washed out Grey's or black.

Great for gaming

The colors are perfect. There is so much more to see on the big screen things you miss on a smaller set get one and you'll understand

Could not be happier with our choice

We use the unit for streaming, the navigation is cumbersome and setting preferences is extremely limited. Specifically, when you turn on the unit, it goes to the Home Screen…it takes a bit to navigate to where I want to go. For what it's worth the channel selecting using the virtual keypad doesn't work…at all.

Great picture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good Budget-friendly TV, big enough to enjoy some 4K content, and does bring me, a multi-samsung device buyer, coming back for more (i.e. upgrade). Obviously every price margin has its up bur also its downs. The lower RAM/Memory does make for a big of a laggy experience, but de-bloating the TV, such as removing extra software/apps that I do not use, seems to help. I just got this today, and will probably keep it. When more income or possibilities (cough* promotion cough*cough*) come along, I will consider getting an OLED instead. For now, this will do!

Appropriate given the cost margin

This is a re-write of my review, as requested by Samsung:  For the picture on this TV I would give it 5-stars.  The picture and the screen's abilities to provide an excellent picture are outstanding.  It is able to provide anything you might prefer from quite dim to absolutely brilliantly bright.  Contrast can be adjusted to the same level of extremes as the brightness.  The uniformity of the picture is also all that you could ask of a set, especially in this price range.  Being a 4K TV, its ability to upscale is something to really appreciate and is apparent when watching media that was made pre-1080I, as the upscaling feature does improve the lower resolution of those productions in most cases.  The sound is fairly decent considering the set is a simple two-speaker, down-firing system, with a relatively low-powered amplifier.  Sadly though, like so many manufacturers today have done, the only audio out is for optical devices only.  Long gone are any "legacy" hook-ups and I should point out here that not only includes the sound output, buy the video input as well.  You can no longer use RGB, component or even the traditional fall-back default of RCA composite connections.  There's HDMI in and Optical audio out.  There is a single USB A port that can be used to input from USB memory media devices for movies, videos, etc.  All of these things are pluses for this set and we like them.  Now, for what we don't like:  One, the included remote is sorely lacking in what it is able to control on the TV, mostly due to it being done in a "minimalist" style.  What I'm saying here is Samsung has attempted to move as much control from the included remote to the screen itself.  If you've been paying attention to what has been happening in new cars with the manufacturers removing buttons and knobs from the dashboards, and placing them on a screen on the dash instead, well they've done on this TV.  Samsung has tried to strike a similar aesthetic here on this TV and probably all of their sets.  To put it simply, we don't like what they've done.  The few buttons that remain on the remote are very poorly labeled, and some of them don't move in an intuitive manner.  For example, there are two very small rectangular buttons that stick up from the surface of the remote about 1/16th of an inch.  It took me quite some time to realize you needed to use these to change the channel, but you don't "push down" to get a response.  You must "catch" the top edge of these little buttons to "rock" or "nudge" them either forward or backward.  If you're anything like the average person you will frequently find your fingers simply sliding over the top of the button because they're very small, they do not stick up very far and the plastic is very smooth, almost slippery.  This is very much how the design of the entire included remote is done.  Not easy to use, almost indecipherable and actually small enough that you can easily have it fall out your hand if you aren't careful with it.  Now, our second dislike and it looms large for us.  This isn't our first 4K Samsung set.  Our first Samsung 4K set is now about 10 years old, but its menu system is far more intuitive, logical and understandable.  Our new MiniLED set's menus are very trying, not logical and many times the only way to actually pull something up that you want is to use the search function.  We are keeping the TV because we love the picture and sound, and we found an excellent work-around so that we can use our new set.  The remote from our 10 year old Samsung 4K set works perfectly with the new set, and the way it was laid out brings back the logic and control that was missing due to the included remote being almost useless for us.  With the old remote we now can access every feature on this new TV and do not have to hunt and depend on moving a little cursor around on the screen to back control.  Good TV, bad remote and software.

Love the picture, the remote and menus not so much

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honestly, do not buy this TV. I am so incredibly mad I wasted my money on this Samsung TV.

First off, they literally force you to make a Samsung account just to use the TV you paid hundreds of dollars for. You can't watch a thing without signing up for their  account first. Why do I need to give Samsung my email and info just to watch my own TV? It's absolute corporate greed and data mining.

To make things even worse, I have a perfectly good Vizio soundbar that I've used for years. But guess what? Samsung locks their "immersive" sound feature so it only works if you waste more money on a Samsung brand soundbar. Because I have a Vizio, the TV blocks the feature from working together. It's a total scam to force you into buying only their products.

This TV is nothing but a headache. Constant pop-ups, forced logins, and they block your other speakers from working right. Save your sanity and stay far away from this TRASH.
