Been eyeing this for over a year.  Finally jumped on it when it was $200 off.  The monitor arrived no problem.  I come from triple monitor set-up and this 49" makes me not miss it.  This is basically two 27" monitors put together.   I really like the no bezel look.  Everything looks seemless now.  Awesome for gaming and productivity.   With the higher resolution text and gaming looks better on this monitor.  Walmart is a great way to go to get  this monitor because the 4 year extended warranty is really affordable $77..... everywhere else is at least $100 or more.  It was a no brainier for me.

So I went searching for a quality screen to which I would be purchasing 3 monitors. Long story short. It wold require another video card as well. A new stand to accommodate 3 monitors. And me having to accept the seams. Then alternate thinking lead me to simply go big with one big ultra wide display. 1 cord, 1 stand, 0 seams, and 1 extremely happy customer later. Best tech purchase I've made in the last 10 years!

Great bang for the buck to have the real estate!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am on my 2nd with all day daily use and my wife is on her first, we love them, they are big but in my opinion mot too big since you can split it up, they are sexy with sleek lines and voluptuous curves, having a built in USB hub makes connecting peripherals a dream especially if they are Wireless since you can just plug the dongle right in the back. 

I will never have another monitor again other than a 49 or larger Odyssey!!

I love these monitors

The multi-view functionality is a real game changer, allowing me to easily split the screen and multitask without needing multiple monitors. On top of that, the picture quality is exceptional, delivering clarity and depth across the entire ultrawide display. Overall, it's one of the best monitors I've ever used — both for productivity and entertainment.

Immersive Experience with the Samsung Odyssey 49"

The 5120x1440 DQHD resolution is sharp and provides an incredible amount of screen real estate. Combined with the 120Hz refresh rate and FreeSync 2 HDR support, it delivers a smooth and responsive gaming experience, particularly in titles that support the ultra-wide format. The QLED panel offers excellent color vibrance and a peak brightness of 1000 nits, making it stunning to look at.

However, its performance comes with a few trade-offs. The HDR capabilities, while certified, are limited by a small number of local dimming zones, which can lead to a "blooming" effect around bright objects. The immense size requires a very deep desk, and not all games are optimized for the 32:9 aspect ratio, which can result in frustrating black bars on the sides.
