This blanket is thin, delicate, and a little bit scratchy. It is very loosely woven. It is not something I would wrap up in. I'm a bit disappointed because I will have to buy another blanket to actually use to keep me warm. I'm going to use it to drape over an accent chair as decoration. 

As you can see in the picture, there are sparkly threads woven throughout. It's not so sparkly that you'll notice at a distance, but I think those are what make it scratchy.
