Love this. Know first that you dont roll it easily over the frank but rather use this as a press to make an ordinary dog easily without splits and bursting, but rather grilling marks and an even cook through. Did I mention that I love this?

Seems kinda silly but I love this thing!  My grilled hot dogs are amazing!  Took it to a big neighborhood  function, and everyone raved about the hotdogs.  They were just regular hotdogs - nothing special, except I cut them with the Slotdog (which I got on a whim).  Definitely makes a huge difference! Highly recommend!

Fantastic little gadget for grillmasters!

I was really impressed with the thought and workmanship that went into this tool. It is sturdy and well made and will take plenty of downward pressure when scoring your hot dogs whether they are regular skinless franks, bun length, jumbo or quarter pounders. This tool will handle all lengths.. It's best to use a side to side movement when scoring the hot dogs. The depth is well controlled with a sturdy backup platform on the opposite side of the stainless steel slotting blades. I'm sure you will be satisfied if you decide to purchase one.

Simply amazing. I can't eat another hotdog at home without it. built to last a d priced well for the sturdy heavy construction. I find it easier to use when the hotdogs are still somewhat frozen. I you use it with completely thawed dogs you could smash them or cut too deep. Awesome gadget. Get you one, you won't be dissapointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought it was a little expensive at first, but it seems very sturdy and well built, wide enough for larger sausages, and it needs to be fairly sturdy to break through the sausage casing; you gotta push pretty hard, which makes the sturdiness make sense, which makes the price make sense. When I first used it on my pellet Smoker I was pleasantly surprised. It imparted a great deal more smoke flavor than without it. What a flavor boost.
