This is my third flat screen TV form Sony. I am happy with my purchase and the quality of the product is reasonable. My last HK HD TV was LCD and I was happy with as well, but the HDMI port went bad and I no longer sound when receiving signals from that port. That's why I made this new purchase for considerable less amount of money, so I couldn't pass up the offer or opportunity.

Awesome Picture and Sound!

Have never owned a Sony TV, always bought LG and I'm impressed with picture, sound is meh. The brightness is eye gouging, not used to that. Great purchase.

Great TV

It is good. It has trouble staying connected to TV sound system. It works and in the middle of a show or movie, it stops.
A remote that glowed, would be nice. It is small and you can't see it and in a darker room, you need a flashlight.
If not for sound to during play, it would be much higher rated by me.

I purchased this TV because my son told me how customer friendly it was (set up and remote). It took me 3 hours, 3 chats with Google and finally gave up trying to use the "easy" set up with the QR code. When I entered EVERYTHING manually (which was pretty painful) we finally got to watch TV .

Nice TV, Difficult to Set Up

Reference guide in box has very little printed information on general usage of the TV.  
Hard to find adequate information needed.

This TV replaced one that was not 4K so the picture looks obviously better. I would say almost too good, I can now see all the imperfections in people that were not apparent before. The local news anchors must hate it. The sound quality of this set is not as good as the one that it replaced, a 10 year old Toshiba. This TV has no control buttons on it so if you lose the remote you are screwed. The remote lacks some the buttons that I miss and has some that are not really necessary, like six buttons for various streaming services that could be accessed without the buttons on the remote. Like what the heck is Crunchyroll? I assume Sony is being paid put these buttons on the remote. But I think I could navigate to Netflix without 
a special button for it, whereas a fast forward button would be of some use without having to navigate to it. TVs are more and more being designed for streaming. I'm just glad they still put an antenna connection on this one.

Good picture, controls and sound could be better

First let me say the KDX77L model is has a native refresh of 60hz not 120hz as listed on the Walmart online site.  One of the reasons I purchased this model.  That said, I do like the performance of the tv so far.  Good picture quality, sound, function, operability.  I like it's backlighting.  Set up and adjustment is intuitive.  The next con is the remote.  It's less functional than I need.  In less lit room I put it in its impossible to tell the keys apart.  Need to provide a backlit remote.  In summary, this is a low end Sony for under $400.  I generally buy Bravia's but was putting this in a large bedroom replacing a 20 year old 40” Bravia XBR.

I've had issues with the sound going out, had to unplug the tv and plug it back in. I do not like how if I'm watching something on tv “antenna “ and it decides to go to the Home Screen. Also there could be more available inputs. I use Tablo and can not get the app on this tv.

It's good but not great

Only reason I purchased this tv was because of the 120hz capability for gaming. The smart tv and Google were just unnecessary added benefits. With much anticipation and excitement I could not wait for it to arrive. Upon arrival I hooked everything up and went through a long process of setting up the tv with various accounts. Finally the moment has come to use my Sony Tv with my Sony PlayStation which are supposed to be meant for one another. Once I Hook it up all I can get is 60fps. Confused I begin to look at the tv on the back and it says 50-60hz😡😡. I check the website to see if I misread and it says it's 120hz tv! I was lied to and much time and money wasted did not meet and definitely did not exceed the description or my expectations

I hesitate to leave this review because it may not be Sony's fault but the TV was inoperable when I plugged it in. It looked perfectly fine when I took it out of the box until I plugged it in and then there was a line across the middle of the screen that made the TV not work. 
I am hoping that Walmart makes it right and gives me all of my money back.

Faulty and so far, not worth the money!!
