This set is amazing, ive been waiting weeks for this release. As a huge star wars fan this set brings back some great memories of the original trilogy. The build was easy and exciting to watch it all come together with the compactor function as a bonus although i will display it in the open setting. Looks awesome with the other two in the collection.

I've had this set for a few months and finally got some time to put it together. This was a fun build. I had a hick up with a random piece inside the wall, other than that it was fun. I'm looking forward to building the new diorama sets that just came out for May.

“…What an incredible smell you've discovered!!”

I know others have talked about the high price point, so I won't go there, but my biggest beef is that the piece is obviously designed to be displayed... it's a diorama after all, and you can imagine it on a shelf somewhere. And to be fair, it will look fantastic on a shelf. However, that negates the reasoning for having C3PO and R2D2 having a scene on the back side of the diorama - a side which would never be seen when displayed. Very odd. Aside from that, the build is good, it looks great on display, and I love that the walls can be moved in.

Good, but some odd choices

This set is good looking, fun to build, and looks great for Star Wars fans/collectors. I'm so happy they are making highly detailed sets for ages 18+. I 100% want lego to keep making sets like these in the future. The only problem I have with it is the price. Star Wars Legos are becoming so pricy it's insane. I would buy way more sets if the prices weren't so ridiculous. Lower it $20 at least, wow.

Keep the Diorama's coming!!!

This diorama is such a beautiful collectible piece ! I love the fact that the walls are quite high compared to the minifigs. Little walls would have been a real turn off. The rusty wall design is really well made too. Even if the dianoga is very simply made (quite a bit lazy on that one lol), I think it is still pretty cool that LEGO thought of including this character (if we can call it a character). A lot a cool details. But I am not giving 5 stars on that one. The diorama itself deserve 5 stars for sure. But...the price of it...sadly too overpriced I think. I know it is Star Wars, and I know it is a heavy trademark, etc, but I mean...still too overpriced for it...The diorama is pretty light. I feel a bit ashamed for buying it at full price to be honest. I regret a bit. Life is hard, and you have to work hard for your money. I think LEGO could have been a little chiller on the price. Anyways, I think 3 stars out of 5 is a good score for it.

A perfect diorama, but sadly overpriced

Fun build and nice colors however I do believe it is a little more expensive than usual sets besides that it is a nice display piece and the sliding function was unexpected and added more variety to ways to display it.

Good idea

I absolutely love theses new 18+ sets for display however they are quite expensive for what you get. I hope these continue with the price lowered.

Good but overpriced

I can't in good faith recommend this product. I had VIP points saved up and used them to help purchase these dioramas, but even with a large discount, I'm not happy with this purchase.

Positives: The build appears relatively accurate to the source material, and the walls close in, which is a great play feature that works well.

Negatives: The character's faces are either content or mildly disgruntled, and don't really line up with the fear you'd expect from being in a room with walls closing in. Reusing the available faces is fine, but not for this price.

The left and right walls feel unfinished, with lots of exposed anti-studs. A couple of strategically placed inverted tiles and a bit of greebling could have helped out a lot. The other problem with this is that if you display this set somewhere where people won't be seeing it face-on, these ugly unfinished-looking walls will obscure their view of the set.

R2 and 3PO feel like very unnecessary inclusions here, and while I appreciate the back-printing on R2, I already have a better C3PO with the landspeeder I purchased alongside this.

The worst value for money set I've ever purchased by far over my entire lifetime of buying LEGO sets.

Somewhat Accurate, but Disappointing

I was very excited when I first heard this set was coming out. Then I saw the price and was floored.. I bought it anyway regrettably, and it is just a lackluster set for this price. I just don't understand. I was hoping after I built it, the cost wouldn't bother me. I was wrong.

So this set is obviously pricey, but looks to be worth it at first glance. Looks can be deceiving.
This set was a huge let down, especially considering the price. It failed to capture the movie moment with the reprinted figures and it failed to entertain with the build experience. The set looks awkward both closed and open, with too much open space in either case. That rhymed... unintentional.
The closing action is manual on each side, which means the poorly planned out slide action catches on at least one point making the whole thing feel awkward. I even reworked the set to make sure I didn't mess up anywhere. Alas it was just a sloppy set up. Why no advanced duel open/close mechanism such as the ones featured in multiple hidden side sets? Or a gear based crank on the back? Or literally anything other than this rush job?! 
Honestly, this is probably the worst Lego set for the price since Smoke's throne room.
