We have been eating the span light for over 28 years.  We prefer the light because it is better for you are well as better tasting.  We have learned to make some of our favorite recipes. 
 We make shredded span light and mix a little miracle whip and eat it on a hamburger bun, it taste like ham salad.
We shred span light and put it on opened hamburger buns sprinkle shredded cheese and put into the over until the cheese is melted and the bun edges are a little browned and crunchy.
We also eat it with eggs by slicing it and frying it in a pan.  It takes the place of bacon.
We also cube it and mix it with max and cheese for added protein and mix in a can of peas, for a complete quick meal.
We like that it can be stored in our pantry as a source of protein.

What to do with Spam Light

I actually really like this one I like to chop it up and dice it and make it fried rice and vegetables and I call it Hawaiian fried rice and it's very good it's also good if you cut it up and make with eggs, I like that it's lower and sodium cuz I like to watch how much sodium I take in and this is a good way to not ingest so much as you do with the regular spam

I got a double bonus with the lite.Reduced sodium and fat. This didn't take anything from the flavor, the great taste and filling portion of a Spam dinner were not affected by the salt and fat reduction. for those on restricted diets try the light, it's still a great Spam experience

It does taste less salty than the original, which I like. I can get about 3 meals from each  can. I eat it as a sandwich with mustard, or mixed with egg. I enjoy it really toasted.

Yummy!

Perfect with any dish, from Mac and cheese,  salads, open toast sandwiches and all on its own.  So many recipes!  I suggest roast, baking  or frying in pan first.  Afterwards.... good luck not eating it before it get to your recipes.

I thoroughly enjoy Spam lite for snack with crackers, with bread for a sandwich, added to salad or beans.  Great alternative to regular Spam because of lower sodium.

How much I enjoy SPAM

Love this spam; the light is so tasty and goes a long way. Pay attention to the fat and sodium content. A little healthier( lol) than the others and still tastes great. I use mine in a Mac %26 cheese casserole. A little pricey though

Good to have on hand

I generally cook with fresh meats and vegetables, but I have found this to be a good product to have handy in the cupboard, when I'm in a hurry and don't have anything fresh on hand.  This one is not nearly as salty or greasy as the regular spam.  Pan fried it makes a good stir fry with rice and vegetables

Spam "Lite"

We love to slice SPAM thin and fry it for breakfast with eggs when we don't have our favorite Boarsh_ _d bacon on hand. It is great cubed with cubed fried potatoes also. This one didn't seem any less salty though. Maybe even a little more than the regular in taste. We'll stick with the regular SPAM from now on.

I was trying the low fat Spam for the reduced fat content.  I was  very disappointed.  The Spam was tough and rubbery and didn't even taste good.  I love the regular Spam especially when I slice it, flour the slices and brown in a little olive oil or shortening.  It tastes like a pork chop.  Delicious!  So the rest of the low fat cans that I bought I threw away.
