They are reliable and batteries last a long time, in my experience sometimes up to 18 to 24 months with several thousand pictures. When a force 48 is overlooking something I want to monitor, I trust the information it gives me.

The Bread and Butter of my Scouting

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered this and a Tactacam because of good reviews for both. I already have six other game cams to compare these too. I actually don't need or want a cell cam but I wanted good night vision, sharp and programable the way I want it. This Spypoint is my favorite so far and I just ordered a second one just like it. The Tactacam at 2X the price isn't as good as this Spypoint. If I wanted cell maybe it would be different but the Spypoint is easier to fine tune sensitivities, flash intensity, delay and those type of things that are more important to me than all the cell phone stuff. It has a regular ON/OFF switch like my other cams, which I like, so I know positively what it is set at. Tactacam is press, and press and hold without a positive indicator (that I have found) to let me know its setting. This Spypoint Force 48 is way better and half the price of the cell cam and is more customizable.

Sharp pictures easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Relatively easy to use and daytime pictures are excellent; however, the night vision is a little blurry, BUT we're not using it for hunting, just want to see who's lurking in our pastures.  Don't know about the battery life yet since we just mounted it.

Good camera for the price....

I acquired a spypoint Force 48 camera earlier this month and did some detection tests. I compared this camera with 4 other spypoint cameras that I already own. I'm very disappointed. For the first 5 days of testing, she did not take any photos. For the next 4 days, she took 50% fewer photos than the other cameras, despite the fact that the "settings" are the same for all the cameras and that they are all placed next to each other. I do not recommend this model

Disappointment

I bought 2 of these ealier this week. Also bought 8gb cards and batteries. Followed all directions and called CS for help. They could not make sense of issues. I dont think the language barrier helped the process. 1st camera reads  ( format SD Card) even after doing the long format. 2nd camera worked at home for 10 pics. Put it on tree for 3 days and came back to empty card and the ( format SDCard ) message. Even tho the card and camera worked just days before. I have owned 20 cams plus over last 10 years. Never had so many issues. Well, in fact, the cameras just dont work.

Issues and more issues

This is the 2nd season to use this camera. One of the worst cameras I have ever owned. Photos are so blurred,  especially at night, you can't tell what it is. Tried all the different settings and nothing fixes it. If the subject is perfectly still you can get an okay picture but the slightest movement causes severe blurring. No more Spypoint cameras for me.
