Well made, with plenty of room for small parts. For longer items internal partition bins can be removed, but then the others tend to slide around when box is open, though there are tabs to hold them when closed. But it would be nice if longer bins were available, or I may just cut between a couple to suit. Hinged clear cover is thick, appears it will hold up well, and has front and side clips for secure closure and good O-ring seal. Plus boxes can be stacked and side clips will couple them.

I have three of them and I love it. I used to have all nails and screws all over but now they are in one place. I don't have to search all them but this come very handy if you're working on something near by. I highly recommend this.

I have used the various iterations of the FatMax, but nothing provides the storage space, the strength, and the ability to seal out dust and moisture like this organizer.

Granted it is expensive compared to some other brands, but they do not offer all of the features of the FatMax. The one feature that makes this organizer standout from the rest is that it has a O-Ring type seal built into the lid that blocks dust, insects and even moisture from getting to your valuable items.

I use mine to keep my machine tool bits for the lathe, mill, and drill press organized and away from corrosion forming moisture. This is a small investment compared to what the cost of the tools were

I recommend both the FatMax and Fatmax junior for anything that you need organized. There is also 4 other Stanley organizers that are similar to the Fatmax but they do not have the seal built into the lid, but are also still very useful for organizing.

Preserve your collectables to the Max with FatMax

I own both the SortMaster organizer and the FatMax organizer from Stanley. The FatMax is ten times better than the SortMaster and definitely worth the additional cost. It's very well designed, metal hinges and latches that at least appear to last very long. The case has grooves and the lid has studs to hold the cups in place, so even after I removed two cups, the rest of them are firmly held in place. It's also very well built, everywhere. I don't see any uneven edges commonly found on plastic parts. The structures are very sturdy, resistant to bending and twisting. The lid closes with tight tolerances. The surface textures also feel great. Mine is made in Israel. Though not useful to me, an inner seal around its lid makes this box watertight. The only downside is its weight. A more solid built makes it feel heavy to be carried around. Another thing I don't like is the metal latches are too tight on their  hinges and don't flip up and down easily (the latches hold the lid tightly, but they are hard to operate).

I have 10 of these and I use these for my bead collection. I am a jewelry designer and I put each colored bead into one of these containers. I love that they are portable and the little inside containers can be mixed. So when I work on a design, I simply pick out all my colors and put them into an empty container.  For me it's very hard to open the lid without breaking a fingernail. So I ‘m going to get fake nails to see if that helps!

I bought this 2 years ago for work and they are awesome I only bought 2 at the start as I wanted to see how well they would hold up bouncing around dirt rounds in my truck. 
They are still solid and working great!

Great quality, well built

Steel latches--an improvement on the professional series.  Holds a ton of hardware.  Well, all you want carry in one of these anyway.  I like it.  I want more.

Truly Fat max

I am a building contractor, this box is the perfect size to fit the bins of most utility trucks. perfect to fit small tools and accessories or parts. easy for me to break the lids though, wish the hinges were stronger. This does not stop me from using them, again the perfect size!

They do well for organizing screws and bolts. However, the clasps that secure the lid fall off 70% of the time you open it. This is a huge problem especially if you have to chace a piece of critical plastic under the tail of your truck or workbench. I don't think I'd buy again unless they are redesigned.
