The Staub Cast Iron Pumpkin Cocotte was designed not only for collectors, but for those that would like to bring a little whimsey to their table. This Cocotte is more than mere decoration. It is an heirloom quality Dutch Oven, cast and enameled in France by skilled craftsmen. The interior enamel is Staub's proprietary textured matte finish that promotes browning.

The Staub cocotte is unsurpassed for slow-cooking meats and vegetables to tender perfection, and for simmering hearty stews and soups. Cast iron possesses exceptional heat-retaining qualities, so the pot heats evenly throughout. This pot also makes a handsome serving vessel at the table.

Made in France

Heavy weight, tight-fitting lid retains moisture, spikes on the lid create a rain-forest effect evenly returning juices back onto food

Oven safe up to 900F/482C without lid, Lids are Oven safe up to 500F/260C

Brass knob

Smooth enamel bottom works on all stovetops, including gas, electric, glass, ceramic, induction, and halogen

Unique, interior matte texture results in exceptional browning

Dishwasher safe, hand wash recommended

Dishwasher safe.

Very original and completely functional,I like how the seal lid design traps the moisture inside and the thick cast iron the heat evenly on bottom and top.

Pretty as functional.

My brother bought the black matte version for me. I didn't want to use it for cooking because it makes such a great decoration (all year!), but I recently started making artisan bread in it. It is perfect!

Unique Pot

The Staub Pumpkin Cocotte is a classic. In any color - pumpkin, white or matte black - serving a soup or a stew in this pot is always fun. I always get 'ooo-s and ahhh-s' with whatever I serve just because it looks so good!

And there is no sacrificing quality for the pumpkin shape. It cooks like all Staub pots – evenly and gently. The gold accented top handle is an elegant touch.

Bring a Touch of French Whimsy to the Table!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a great pot that has durability snd is very festive. All the perks of heavy duty cast iron and no real downsides!

Great Festive Pot

Purchased this much desired Staub Pumpkin to add to my daughter's growing collection. Such an exquisite item it is left out on display when not being used to prepare and present a vast number of recipes.
