The round Staub roasting pan creates crispy chicken with a "fresh from the grill" flavour". Simply place the bird in the roasting pan and put it in the oven to cook it evenly on each side and produce a crispy skin. The Staub roasting pan features a heat-conducting cast iron spike, which ensures that the chicken is cooked all the way through. The remainder of the roasting pan is also made from cast iron coated with matte black enamel. The 24-centimetre-wide collection tray collects excess fat, resulting in a tender, low-fat meat. The large round tray also keeps the oven clean, meaning that you don't need to think about anything other than the meal at hand. The Staub roasting pan can be used in any oven to cook chicken and any other type of poultry. The weight of this pan makes it extremely stable, even when cooking large birds. It can also be placed easily in the oven and taken out again using the handles on either side. The Staub roasting pan offers a healthy, low-fat option for cooking duck, small turkeys - or even partridge.

Made in France

Oven safe up to 500°F/ 260°C

Smooth enamel bottom works on all stovetops

Each piece is one of a kind

Rough texture results in exceptional browning

Requires no seasoning

Dishwasher safe, hand wash recommended

Juice Retention

I've eyeing this vertical roaster for awhile and decided to push the purchase button because it was on sale. I will never roast my chicken in a pan again. I liked being able to veggies and herbs to the roaster during the cooking process. The chicken cooks on the inside which ensures that it's cooked throughout. I loved having the entire chicken with crispy skin as opposed to only the top and sides. Also, cleanup was a breeze.

Zwilling.com

I've been using this vertical roaster exclusively now for about a year - I used to make good chicken - now people rave about them! I rub the chicken with salt and herbs (including the interior), let it sit on the roaster in the refrigerator for several hours, then roast it on high heat (450) until done.

My only caveat is that you can probably put a chicken over 2kg on this roaster, but then you'll probably want to truss the legs and/or wings while in the 'fridge to prevent them from dripping/touching/etc. - once it goes in the oven, you might want to put a sheet pan on the shelf under the roaster if you are going to cook a larger bird - the diameter of the pan doesn't quite cut it for me.

Last bit of advice - put the chicken on the spit neck first and ensure that the legs are untrussed and pointed to the back of your oven when you are roasting for maximum enjoyment.

Beautiful for roasting chickens under 2kg

Just broke her in, best duck I ever had. Outstanding
and sublime. This has become my most coveted kitchen apparatus. Just buy one .

Best thing to ever happen to me

My family loves a well roasted chicken, and this vertical roaster cooks to perfection. When you stand the chicken up, instead of laying it flat, the resulting bird is moist and juicy with no basting, and with a delightfully crispy skin. The skin remains intact and does not stick to the roasting pan because it is upright. Perfect in regular and convection ovens, as well as outdoor barbeques. Can't wait use when roasting a nice fatty duck!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this piece, it took me a few weeks to make up my mind to buy this, man I am so happy that I did. The crispiest skin with the juiciest meat. I just made my first chicken roast a few days ago and posted pictures of it on social media. It was a big hit with so many people trying it immediately. I mean it is not even a week and I see everyone else is happy with their purchase. It is a must-have for a great chicken roast. Period.

Most Succulent Chicken Ever

I love the design of this, how the airflow reaches all sides equally and the juices collect at the bottom. A joy to use!

Crispy all over!

I use to make beer can chicken all the time on the BBQ, never the oven because it was a bit messy, seriously good, but messy. Since I started using the vertical roaster, I can now make it in the oven or on the BBQ and it comes out so good!! Due to the cast iron heating and distributing the heat continually, it comes out juicy and with a perfectly crispy skin. I put small potatoes under the chicken to roast in the juices!

This awesome pan does a fantastic job roasting a chicken. It's made completely of enamelled cast iron so it heats up throughly but doesn't require seasoning and can be washed with soap and water.

The handles are wide so it's easy to move around even with a large chicken on it. The center is hollow cast iron which helps lighten the load but also speeds up the cooking process by cooking from the inside as well as the outside. It has a deep enough base that it captures all the juices without spillage but can also be used to add flavors such as beer.

I recently saw a cinnamon roll recipe that I'm anxious to try in it. Seems like the perfect pan for even cooking and delicious browning.

PERFECT ROASTED CHICKEN

I love this. Cooks my whole chicken evenly. Moist on the inside and crisp on the outside.

Moist and Crisps

Like to see in bigger size-diameter This size Not big enough for vegetables put with chicken. Only Chicken medium size. I hope it show up in bigger size and not only black color . Other than that it is ok. .Maybe color not very good.
