I got this series mainly because I love these educational documentaries.  I also want my son to grow up interested in the sciences.  The narration is excellent, although I prefer Sigourney Weaver and Liam Neeson more, David Attenborough is a great narrator.

The visuals and camera work is excellent.  If you are on the fence about purchasing this, let this review nudge you over and make the purchase.

This is a pretty good price for the entire BBC series (plus some "special edition" footage. BUT I would say that this is not a "Gift Set".  Typically a gift set has a collectible model/toy/poster etc... but in this case, what you see is what you get. This is the standard 6-disk special edition that is being sold by several different retailers.
