The electricity went out due to a tree falling on power lines during a rain storm. The CyberPower sump pump back up worked perfectly, and lasted longer than it took to get the power back on about an hour and a half later. I still had about 41 minutes power left according to the display. But probably more like 30 minutes in reality.
I bought a second unit so I will have 4 hours of back-up protection next time.

CyberPower A1500SP1 sump pump back-up power.

walmart.com

i was looking to add a battery and inverter for my sump pump and found this item .. I tested it with and without power and it works as it should be. I have not tested the total operating time, but will add that if I do it along with pics. Great product for thr price.

Great product ... works as it should

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have only tested it by shutting off power to the sump pump. Cycled with no issues. Should work great for short power outages. Easy to set up and use. I don't lose power often but this will provide peace of mind.

Works

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to set up, offering a peace of mind sump pump will contine working when the power goes out.

Up and working in no time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to connect. Small enough to fit in tight space

Very easy set up and was fully charged when I received product.

Easy Pesey...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What I expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works as expected. Easy set up.

This UPS works as described, I am not sure how long it can support my 1/2 sump pump, need more time to make the conclusion.
But the MAJOR DESIGN FLAW is that if the UPS shuts off due to drained battery, your sump pump will never be able to be connected to the electricity automatically, even if after the city electricity is back on. You have to manually turn it on, then the sump pump can be powered.

Concept is new, but design is flawed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I very carefully set the unit up as instructed by the manual (after charging it in accordance with the manual), and it looked like all was well. Then, as fate would have it, we had a heavy rainstorm and power outage -- exactly the situation this was supposed to address. So I went down to the basement to make sure it was working as it should, and . . . nothing. It wasn't even on, and when I turned it on, it immediately shut off again. I know my sump pump is in the power range this unit is supposed to be able to handle, so the only conclusion I can draw is that it simply didn't work when it was actually called on to do the one and only thing it is supposed to be able to do. The only saving grace is that it happened within the return period, so at least I'm not out the money. But the product was a 100% disappointment, and I would recommend avoiding it in favor of something that will actually do the job.

Utterly Useless
