Unused ice melt is good for years (Coloration may change, however it does not change the effectiveness of melting snow and ice). Safe Paw Concrete Safe Ice Melt Pellets come in a non-staining green color, easy to see where you have spread. 

Safe Paw is a patented dual-effect compound. The liquid component starts melting ice instantly while breaking its surface tension. This allows the crystal core to quickly penetrate and destabilize the ice, speeding up the melting process. All while Safe Paw’s proprietary traction agent provides slip protection. works wonderful not much needed to use alot. ice snow and slush gone and it keeps it unfrozen for a  good length of time

Extra Large size bag that arrived quickly.  Transferred some to an oversized lidded paint bucket to store on outside porch.  Used a small cup to scoop it and spread on sidewalks and driveway to prevent ice.  Safer walkways for me and my dog.  Would buy again, a little goes a long way during a tough winter.

This product works great at melting ice. Happy with my purchase and my furr babies paws are safe!

I love Safe Paws it works so good and it's animal safe.

Works just as advertised and won't be buying anything else when we get snow and ice in the winter years to come. It really is the best when you  have dogs and cats.

I ordered ‘cuz I feed “neighborhood” cats year ‘round. Using a toxic deicer would be ridiculous!!

Safe Paw Pet Safe Ice Melt is high-quality stuff. It performs as advertised. The cost seems excessive to me.

This does not seem to work as well/fast as other pet safe products I've used.  Seems I had to put much more down than other products.
