My husband installed the gate several days ago so for now, I can give it 5 stars.  It serves its purpose.  Nice that you can have it swing open both ways or just one way.   Installation wasn't too difficult.

Our 1-year-old loves walking around the house and trying to go up and down every step constantly.  We have a permanent metal gate at the top of the stairs, but were using a wooden fold-up gate at the bottom.  It worked while he was crawling, but once he started walking he figured out how to pull it down easily no matter what MacGyver techniques we tried to attach it to the stairwell.  This Everywhere Gate was the perfect solution.  It is extremely sturdy and the neutral color helps it blend well with any decor.  We can open and close it easily, but it is strong enough to withstand all toddler attempts to get through.  Hooray for no more stress at the base of the stairs!

Great gate but really difficult to align correctly when installing! There's a very small margin of error and the guides that come with it aren't sufficient. I don't understand why the screw anchor holes don't have any room for vertical adjustment, as that'd be the easy fix. I generally consider myself reasonably handy but had to reinstall our first gate three times to get the right alignment, and our second one twice.

Great gate but hard to align

Gate was easy to install and all the screws are secure except two of them that most likely need anchors. Unfortunately you don't know the anchors are needed until after it's installed which is annoying because you have to uninstall everything to put the anchors into the holes in the wall and at that point you'd need an anchor for each hole that was not needed before.

Not all screws secured

I've bought this gate 3 times (this is the first time buying from Walmart) due to it breaking after my kids or husband over extended it. This is the first one that I had an issue with though. I think the rubber pads that keep it extended aren't close enough to the metal to keep it in place and it's constantly getting loose. I don't feel it's as safe as it should be and it does not feel sturdy. Very disappointed but I've already installed it. I'll keep it until I have to replace it again and I'll buy a different kind next time.

For the price of this gate it is very disappointing. It is not as easy to open as advertised and the middle clamps that hold the gate the right width don't work well which has led to 2 almost near accidents where the gate appears to be closed, yet is not latched securely. I would not recommend.

Im expecting this item to arrive today and I just checked and says CANCELLED. How is that possible, I need this gate for my toddlers. Im VERY ANGRY right now with this service!>
