I am using these slide locks on my "under the sink" cabinets in my kitchen and in my bathroom. I like that they are strong and durable without being overly bulky. I have a 2 year boy so having more peace of mind about him being unable to access spray cleaners, etc that are typically kept under the sinks is a great feeling. I would certainly recommend these and would buy them if I needed more. 

Note: My bathroom cabinet knobs were smaller than my kitchen knobs. At first I thought that the slide lock wasn't going to work for them, but once I adjusted it tighter I realized it would work just fine. (If I find my older kids end up not placing the slide lock right where it needs to be then I will just replace the small knobs with bigger ones so that it is easier for them to use, since I am only trying to keep the 2 year old out.)

Easy to Use and Effective!

I had never tried products for children's safety. Because of its construction, I thought they were weak. I was surprised how resistant are Safety 1st, Cabinet Slide Lock (2pk) even when children play around with them. Several mothers had them recommended, now I am the one that I recommend. My daughter can not open the cabinets and take things out. I am grateful with Safety 1st, my life now has fewer worries.

Amazing

This lock works really well for our cabinets under the kitchen sink. My 18 month old son loves to run into the kitchen and pull open the cabinets, so this works really well to keep the cleaning products out of his reach. Easy to open and close and they are secure. I really like that I don't have to worry with that on.

really good locks

This was easy to put on the cabinets knobs and keeps my kids out of places I'd rather them not be in.  We've used some other child safety stuff before, but it was mostly way more difficult to install and left permanent marks on the cabinets.  This is easy and you don't have to screw anything in or drill anything.

Very easy to use!

These are constructed very well especially for my strong toddler son who is a year and a half old but is the side of a 3 year old.  I already bought more for our newly remodeled kitchen and I'm very happy with them staying put and not having bowls all over the ground as they used to be without these locks.  I highly recommend them and already bought some for my friend who's expecting too.

These Really Work!

My twins are always getting into things. I have tried different kinds of locks before but they seem to always know how to unlock it somehow. I was very surprised that my one twin was not able to figure it out as he usually does. I was very very pleased!!

Loved it!!

I love these slide cabinet locks they simply glide over the cabinet handles and lock easily keeping young kids out of cabinets that they don't need to be in these are built to last and hold up to toddlers that like to take the cabinet doors and move them back and fourth trying to get them to open but with these there is no way a toddler is going to get the cabinet doors open. Very simple and sturdy to use.

Cabinet Slide Lock is the easiest to use. Just slide, click and done. It is sturdy but lightweight and won't damage anything. They are easy to install and use. I would highly recommend and would purchase these again! Thanks Cabinet Slide Lock for a great product to child- proof my house! 5 Stars!

Safety First has made a good impression to our family and friends as a brand they trust to safe guard their small children and I am sure they will do the same for our large family as well . Unfortunately with this product ,  it was about 1 inch too short from locking shut with our kitchen cabinets and bathroom ones as well . The construction of the cabinet locks are made very well in my opinion and I believe anyone can figure out very quickly how to operate them even without their easy to explain instruction manual . If they would have fit properly , I would definitely have felt very safe having our toddlers  playing in the  kitchen ( supervised of course  ) with the assurity neither would be able to get into any of our lower cabinets with the locks in place .

Easy to Use !

I wasn't able to use this in my kitchen as my cabinet knobs we're spaced just a little to far apart. I tried it with my bathroom cabinets and it worked, but it wasn't about to get tight enough of the knobs and my toddler was able to wiggle it free. This product would be better if it was just a little longer to accommodate larger cupboard knob distance as was as being able to tighten better on fancier knobs. It would work better on a simpler knob and it's hard for even a preschooler to unlatch.

Works but only with certain knobs

We primarily use magnetic style latches on our cabinets, but we decided to give the slide locks a shot since we like other Safety 1st products.

We like that the locks don't require any real installation before they're ready for use, you simply press both buttons to release the latch and slide it out. Fortunately, the latch/lock stays on the longer end of the slides so there's no chance of separating the two and losing a piece. It also slides back on easily whether or not you use the buttons, like a zip tie. It's very secure and childproof, as you need to press and hold both buttons to release, and the strength you need to do so strikes just the right balance between childproof and adultproof. The slides are also just flexible enough in case you need to fit them in/over an oddly shaped handle, such as a refrigerator handle. We also like that you can remove these without any trace left when your child is old enough to stay out of cabinets. No glue or tape residue, screw holes, etc.

However, I recommend you check your cabinet handle style and spacing before buying these. Specifically, if you have knobs rather than the closed handles, you might find that you can twist off the entire lock if it's not at it's tightest setting. We also felt that the two ends of the slide are still too sharp, and could cause some harm to a toddler if they were to run into it at the right angle (it's also around face height for toddlers, scary!). Note that like many cabinet locks, you need two hands to operate this one (free hands are a luxury when parenting!). 

Overall, the slide locks are great solutions for temporary use, but there are definitely some annoyances that would make us ditch these for other options.
