I LOVE my Salomon boots.  I am on my third or forth pair and used them as the only Shoe to hike the Camino, 500 miles in Spain.  But the laces always get loose over time.  To have to burn ends, thread through old boots is ridiculous.  And they don't work as well as the original.

Love the concept, but I really did not expect the original quicklace to fray within 6 months.   Perhaps some user warnings in the docs might prevent bad habits and undue wear.

Unexpected fraying

The action of pulling the quicklace cuts through the waterproof shoes material making them leak like a colander.
Needs redesigning otherwise it ruins your excellent waterproof shoes

Bought to replace laces on my trail shoes, unfortunately they're the wrong type. They're really long so suspect they are only really for ski boots. Far too long for trail shoes. Salomon need to describe this product alot better.

Not very happy both my wife and myself have had walking shoes and boots from you over the last few years and are still finding the soles come unbonded to the uppers, it seems to me that they are no different from other manufactures so why pay the extra money

Disappointed with footwear but laces good

Happy you created this product.  I will order more.  Suggest that the plastic guide be in another color except clear.  I misplaced mine..had difficulty finding it.

Quicklace Kit

I replaced my broken lace months ago.   Still working perfectly.   Installation was a process.   Look it up on YouTube.   I found a step by step video that helped me considerably. 
Once you've got the lace on.... great.

I had a replacement kit sent out because the quicklaces on the shoes I purchased were cut too short. Maybe it is my shoes but the eyelits are so tight it is next to impossible to thread the lace through them. Then after spending 2 frustrating hours on one shoe I go to finish the job by connecting the 2 ends together. You have to tie a knot on the end of the lace but if you do that you cannot snap the 2 ends together as the 2 knots won't fit. The video makes it look easy but I cannot make it work. Most frustrating product I have ever encountered.

absolutely horrible

I really like the laces, they go on and off quickly and stay in place well.  The downside is that the outer sleeve breaks way too easily.  I've had two different pair of shoes with this system and both are prone to breaking the outer sleeve within a couple of dozen uses.  Once the outer sleeve is broken, the keeper no longer works, as the inner strands are too slippery to hold.  The replacement laces are easy to work with, but the materials just don't hold up to use.

Want to love them.

Have a set of shoes that the original quick lace had frayed through on and decided to replace them. Followed instructions, which were easy, however the laces could not stay tightened, as the plastic components/knotting combo would not stay together. Well since to get to this you have to have already cut the laces, you can't adjust them after the fact, and makes the set of laces completely useless
