I like the Salton Cinema Popper Popcorn Maker as it perfectly  pops almost every kernel, and fills the room with that great smell.  I control the salt and seasonings and it is healthier then microwave popcorn.  But the main point is the popcorn comes out fluffy, crisp, and evenly coated—no burnt bits, no half‑popped stragglers. And cleaning is a breeze and I can pull it out of the cupboard when needed.

I bought this today... couldn't wait to try it. Works perfectly. I like the smaller design, the spout points down and it has a switch! It makes more than enough for one person so I can't figure out why the bad reviews. Maybe people should READ the manual...and oh, it has a two year warranty. What's not to love.!

Great Little Popper

The reviews were so bad I almost did not buy this unit, but it was on sale and in stock at my local Walmart -so I took a chance...

I purchased a fresh bag of 'yellow' popping corn as advised by the included instructions, and proceeded to try this machine out. The measuring cap in the lid is handy- one cap yields a large bowl of popped corn. I had a few unpopped kernels in my bowl but no unpopped  kernels remained in the machine ( use fresh popping corn).The machine produced each bowl of popped corn in under a minute.

I am very happy with my purchase and felt  compelled to come back and write a review!

I took a chance and was not disappointed!

Purchased this popcorn maker, as I had to finally replace my other one of 5 years, unfortunately this machine is pretty bad. What I don't like is this machine would shut off because it gets too hot and yet did not pop all the kernels. I would have to wait like 5 minutes for it to cool down then try to pop the remainder in the machine.  I will be returning this and getting a different one.

Not too good

I bought this to replace an old air popper I had that died. For some reason I thought it was a bit bigger than it actually is, it only produces half of what i used to get from my old one, but the quality is good, i just have to make 2 lots now instead of one.  I will have to keep looking for a new bigger one!

Good for a single person

Bought the popper mounts ago and found the part you put the corn in to be too shallow and are not able to pop too much corn which is good because it can't pop much corn at all, a full serving you use of corn will only yield about 75% popped so there is a lot of kernels left. The size of the machine  is too small and you can't put a tall bowl under it to catch the popcorn. Overall this design needs work, you are better off buying something more expensive to do a better job.

Poor design

I don't usually write reviews but this popcorn maker was so bad I felt I had to.  I followed all instructions and I would say a little less then half the kernels actually popped.  The machine does overheat, right after the first initial popping but turns itself back on 30-45 seconds later.  I don't feel as though I should have to keep picking up all the kernels and putting them back into the machine many times just to get a full bowl.  There is a design flaw and I don't understand why they would even put this on the market without fixing the flaws.

How has this even made it to production

Do not buy this machine. I bought this for my family to use for our popcorn movie nights. The machine barely pops enough for one person. I went to make another batch and it overheated. And this was the first time I used it. If the recipt wasn't recycled, I'd be returning it to the store. Of all the hot air popcorn machines I've owned this is the worst. Don't waste your money!!!

Horrible Popcorn Maker

I should have read reviews before purchasing. as I had the same experience as others. It spit out about a quarter of the kernels completely raw within the first 20 seconds of turning it on, and then produced barely 3 cups of popped corn. I tried to add the unpopped kernels back in but it shut itself off I assume due to overheating. Sadly for me I cannot find the receipt so I will be donating this one and looking for something better.

Don't purchase this product!
