It didn't take long to heat up. The chicken came out nice and crispy. It cooks enough for two.

My new Salton Deep Fryer is not only attractive but an amazing fryer.

I will recommend it to anyone

I do not recommend. One is supposed to fry with the lid closed. When that happens, steam turns to water and it pops loudly.  Took about 15 minutes to heat to temperature. I have only used it once, next time will be with lid open.

Not as fancy as I wished

DO NOT BUY

Do not buy. It doesn't get up to 375 F which mostly all recipes require the oil temperature to be. Only adequate for frozen food. Had two units sent out to me neither of them worked as they claim it will.
