Highly recommended, fits great on my countertop, love the rubber grip legs, keeps from sliding, however you need to be careful with pots or frying pans potentially sliding off the burner with heavier or wider pots or frying pans. Heats up fast and evenly, easy to use and clean. Perfect for small spaces. I'm extremely happy with my purchase and glad I researched the wattage, works great :)

Perfect for small spaces & affordable pricing!!

I couldn't be more pleased with this little cooktop. I purchased it when we were having trouble with our electricity and both our built-in oven and stovetop were not working. It performs very well. It is a little tricky to clean, as other reviewers have mentioned, but so far we've been able to maintain it. Even now that our electrical problem  has been solved, we've been told to refrain from using both oven and stovetop at the same time. Not a problem, I just pull out this little baby and we are back in business. Money well-spent.

A Good Little Cooktop

Portable stove I purchased is great. I purchased it for a friend.

stove ordered on-line. Great customer service.

I have been using this for 2 weeks now.  It's a life saver when appliance back ordered.  A bit slower than regular stove but gets the job done.   Difficult to clean the drip plates because the burners are not removable.

Helpful stove

So far I haven't had any problems with the Salton Coooktop. My only issue with it, is the same as the last one I had. Due to the way it is designed, you can't lift the coils up to clean underneath, unlike a regular stove, which is very inconvenient.

SO FAR - SO GOOD

I used it intensely for my maple water this spring. About 5 hours a day for 2 consecutive weeks, the two circles lit at the same time. I noticed that by running both circles simultaneously, and after about 5 minutes of walking, there is always a circle that turns off alternately for a short period of time. There is a light indicator per round that tells you it is on. As soon as one is turned on, the other turns off alternately every 8 to 10 seconds. I have the intuition that the fact that it is 2 large 900 watt rounds that it is a safety to avoid overheating and cause a circuit breaker. I am happy with this product with the 2 year warranty that we give.

Contemplating returning this. The burner coils only light up halfway so it takes forever for water or oil to start boiling. The unit also makes a louding popping noise like it's about to stop working or something. I chose this because of the slim look it has. We had a 4 coil stove for 45 years and the elements would turn red immediately. Not totally impressed. Maybe I just got a dud unit.
