Seems to work well. We’re planning to use this induction cooktop for car camping with our EV this summer. We’ve tested it and it works well. It’s slightly lower power than other models on the market which is nice because it won’t overload the V2L outlet on the EV.

Great for EV car camping

Have only used once just as a test. We will be using it at our trailer instead of propane. During the test I was amazed at how quickly it boiled water.

Induction cooktop

Needed an extra plate without breaking the bank. It’s very efficient, boils water in short order. Looking to save on our electric bill.  A bit noisy she on but the benefits out way that.  Easy to operate!

Efficient and Fast cooktop.

Great portable hot plate to take on road-trips. Easy to use and clean and light. Heats up quickly and cools down relatively quickly. Recommend this hot plate.

Road-trip hotplate

So far, I'm happy with it but the beep is so loud, it hurts my ears as I have sensitive ears. Also, the fan its rather noisy. When you turn it on, the power is defaulted at the highest setting, which is annoying because it means you have to press the button several times very quickly to reduce the heat when you don't want high heat. The default should be four, which is in the middle.

A few minor issues only

Product was okay and for the price, it's not bad. However, it felt overall very plasticky, unsubstantial and toy-like. Controls are not intuitive (i.e., can't it just have a graduated knob to turn it on, adjust the temp and turn it off?). Turns out induction also didn't work with most of my existing pots and pans so maybe not the time to use one of these yet.

Great Price But Almost Toy-like

Kept getting error code they it was overheating so I returned it. Return was easy and this is unusual for salton as we've had them in the past with no issues. Think it was a one off.

Didn't work

bought a second one, as we really love this induction stove, unfortunately this one did not heat up at all on the first time - maybe it was "dead on arrival" product. had to return it, salton need to improve qc

good product but bad qc

I have used it 5 times and two of those times it shows E7 error code of over heating and this is after sautéing tofu on one side for a few minutes on power level 5. Poor quality or it's a lemon. Will have to return it.

Over heats for no reason

Only worked for 4 months, I tried all the recommendations to try and get it to function to no avail.
