Ease Of Use

Can heat quickly, but may retain heat inconsistently.

Simple operation with minimal effort required.

Loved the stove!  Use it weekly for a school lunch program. The only thing I didn't like is the mode/settings which has both power (1-8) or temp settings. It would seem that power level is always used for a stove top element. Otherwise I would recommend. I have bought two, one for school lunch program and one for my kids university dorm room.

Great stove top element.

Only used it a couple of times, but So Far still works good, knock on Wood; it's pretty great..  didn't time it or anything, but it's seems to heat water faster than the electric old heat element, I gotta believe  it's an electricity saver because  of that reason.
 A weird Plastic smell, but I imagine that goes away after breaking it in real good. But does the magnetic waves in the induction plates do something to us while we are next to them ? .. lol

Save Energy, buy induction plate?

We had one and it worked super. A plate fell out of the cupboard and smashed the surface. It still worked, but we didn't know for how long so we ordered a new one. The only complaint about the company is that is seems to take forever to get the order delivered.

First ever cooktop.  And it is absolutely fantastic!  Have only had it for 3 weeks and we don't know why we didn't get it sooner.   Unbelievable how quickly it boils water, soup, sauces, melts butter, fries eggs, sautes ground beef & veggies.   Just so fast.  We use it throughout the day.  Keep Warm feature is so handy.   Clean up is a breeze and it's very easy to use.   And it even includes a manual.   And an extra thoughtful tool is that it includes a magnet in the box so you can easily test your pots & pans to see if they're induction friendly.   My only question is why do we need to unplug the unit to turn off the lights/digital display?  When pressing the Power Button to turn off, the light remains on.  But this doesn't matter at all.   Fantastic product & couldn't be happier.

Faster than a gas more powerful then a electric element smarter than a Border Collie.

less wattage than, Salton 1800 and just as good

Product is great.  The Walmart purchase experience was horrible.  Ordered online.  Received no emails after initial purchase.  had to call walmart to find out if item at store.  went to store on pickup date: item could not be found.  had to return to store 2 days later.  Took over an hour for item to be located at store.  no one knew anything.  never buy online from Walmart again.

Bought this for my son who will be living in residence in the fall.  Have seen the induction cooktop but have never used one.  Wanted to get it early to make sure our pots and pans will work on the induction cooktop. It heats up the water quicker than using the electric stove.  The only difference is that there is no residual heat when you turn it off therefore will need to increase cooking time a few minutes.  Has a glass cooktop and think it might get scratched or crack.  So far, it works well.

Great for students

Bad burnt smell for first several days and several uses, could be a problem in poorly ventilated room.
Observations of mineral deposits in a steamer pot suggest that only a 4" diameter area in the center of large pan/pot is directly heated by stove, would not recommend for large cookware but does work.
Temperature levels are 60, 90, 120 C and so on up. Can be frustrating adjusting around boiling point. Power levels 1- 4 are all 635 watts, 1-3 cycle on/off
Will likely buy a more expensive model at some point

Cheapest 4 a reason

Smells like you're burning plastic every time it's being used. Returned.
