I use the T5 as an external backup drive. I purchased it based upon positive reviews by users and tech reviewers on a variety of sites. It's fast and portable, exactly as advertised.

I've rarely used this drive after purchasing it since it never seemed fast. Recently I tried to use it on my xbox and it said it's too slow to even use on that! So I ran a speed test and can't get above 42mb/s read/write speeds. Emailing customer support... hopefully this is fixable.

It's pretty, but, slow...

Samsung US

I have used T3 and T5  ssd for storing photographs - neither will work on the new Mac os system. They work very well on the older Mac Os 
WHEN WILL SAMSUNG OFFER AN UPDATE.
SAMSUNG MUST HAVE KNOWN ABOUT THIS PROBLEM SINCE APRIL. 

These drives are still for sale  - stating that they will work work with Mac Os
