I attached the monitor to the stand that came with it, and it was super easy. It took all of one minute. Hooked up the monitor to my laptop with the HDMI cable that also came with it, and the screen came to life immediately. I didn't have to adjust any settings or download any drivers, it just started working beautifully right away. I love the quality of the display. Can't imagine finding a better monitor for the price.

I didn't deduct any stars for this, but buyer be aware this monitor does not have onboard speakers of any kind! It's my own fault for not thoroughly reading the specs before buying this, I just assumed because every other Samsung monitor I've ever had has had speakers that this one would too. So now I have to go buy speakers… The monitor has good picture, that's the only good thing I can say. The user interface with the single power button is awkward and not intuitive. Really wish it had old skool controls.

No speakers!

Recently my Samsung 37" flat screen went down. Of course, these days, you can no longer by a television that isn't a "smart" tv.  And  though I explored this possibility, after watching several reviews on set up alone, it occured to me that I don't need a "smart" tv, the one I had I only used for a monitor. So I started looking at monitors. 

I chose this one becuse Samsung, for the most part, has worked well for me. eI also like the plug-and-play aspect of it. I also like that it has VGA as well as HDMI connections. It is really that simple. 

I wasn't sure about the curved screen, but after seeing it--I love it. The monitor looks as big as my 37" television. 

For the most part, OSD menu is quirky but accessible, however, you can only access the volume from an OSD menu that only opens when the monitor first turns on. where there are three options, the volume being the second that I bet I turned the montieor on a dozen times before I was able to actually access the volume control.

This is frastrating and Samsun, if they haven't alfeady addressed the issue, need to.

Nevertheless, I would buy a second one, especially at this price.

I don't use it for gaming, only for my pc and streaming online and it works great for that.

My first time having a curved monitor. I love it. It's big but is like watching a movie theater screen on my desk. It's currently sitting next to a 32” flat screen monitor and I can see the difference in colors and looks and size. I will be purchasing a couple more.

Boy, this 32-inch curved monitor is a real joy.  I was using a 17-inch, but at 80 my eyes need bigger letters.  I highly recommend this monitor even if you don't need bigger letters.  Also, I noticed my eyes don't get as tired as they did with the smaller monitor.

Love this BIGGER monitor. The price is excellent!

Great value but the stand needs work. I have a standing desk so the desktop is less secure than a standard desk. The monitor wobbles when I type because of the vibration. If it were affixed to a more sturdy base, this would not be an issue. Hoping to find a better solution for a stand. Otherwise it's a nice monitor and will probably purchase a second one.

Good monitor, base needs work

The downfall part is I wish it would have came with a remote. It has game mode on it which I use for a very vivid picture. The menu buttons are easy to navigate. Great picture and you can speed up or slow down the processor. Good product for the price but SAMSUNG is a good product. This monitor will not turn on with your computer, you have to turn it on every time, that's why I wish it would have came with a remote.

The Challenging Aspect
Despite buying identical models, each monitor sits at a slightly different height on my desk. This inconsistency is maddening for someone who values precise alignment. While not a complete deal-breaker, it's certainly annoying for those who prioritize visual symmetry.

Potential Solutions
For users seeking perfect alignment, I strongly recommend investing in VESA monitor mounts. These will allow you to precisely adjust and level your monitors. If you, like me, prefer using the standard stand, you might find yourself constantly adjusting and feeling frustrated.
Pro Tip: Check your monitors carefully upon unboxing. Sometimes the stands themselves might be slightly crooked, causing height discrepancies
While these height variations are disappointing, the monitors still perform their basic functions adequately. Just be prepared for some potential alignment challenges.

Good-Bad-Honest

I have had Samsung monitors for years but unfortunately this one is a dud. I mean, of course, it works, etc but there four things that are surprisingly that are quite under par for normal excellence from Samsung monitors.

I have it connected to my Mac Air. Granted its an older machine - Apple M1, 8GB, Sonoma OS - but I have hooked into many different monitors with it and never had the basic issue I am having with this one. 
1. Normally it is incredibly easy to configure the monitor with its color profiles with the native Samsung specific monitor but when I did, the background was way too dark, the base color palette was so green and the controls on the monitor to modify it were calibrated such that it it was difficult to get it to render to natural colors - it just went extreme green or red and very little in between. The contrast and brightness did not work very well again enabled the extremes of too bright, too sharp and visa versa.

2. So then given that didnt work well, to its varying profile forms like sports, cinema etc. Cinema sort of worked for my liking but still quite off on the very dark background and overt green. Also the view was always a little fuzzy, not particularly clear but certainly viewable.

3. Then went back  to the color profiles on the Mac OS and tried selecting my old monitor and oddly enough things improved. Now perhaps its because my Mac is older maybe and it remembered its settings better- IDK as I am not an engineer etc. B

But between that setting and the cinema and a couple of other tweeks, its acceptable but i feel pretty compromised versus my previous Samsung which was great. My only real complain about it now is that overall it's background is too dark and the controls to modify it render it too bright or more dark.

Overall it's been quite disappointing and considered returning but I need a monitor and didnt want to be bothered with the effort. It also could be the price point at $179. I mean certainly not a bad price point but hate to put Samsung monitors in the category you get what you paid for and that's not a compliment.

Disappointed in this monitor

I've been working on setting up a home office. I use a MacBook Pro for work and a MacBook Air for personal use. I bought this because I have a 34inch Samsung that has amazing clarity but it  cost 3x as much as this one. When I first turned it on I noticed the color was nice but the text was grainy and no matter how much I messed with the settings it didn't get better. My goal was to have two monitors so I could keep the two stations separate. After about a week I gave up and returned it. I ended up buying another one of the Samsung viewfintiy 34' monitors through Walmart as well and it works looks great. I should have done more research on Mac to monitor compatibilities and saved myself the time. The curve on the original one was great and the screen was a little fogged over but the text drove me crazy. Anyways I'm happy now. Thank you Walmart for letting me return my mistake and put that money towards an identical one that I knew would work.

Text is grainy and pixelated on Macs.
