What a great little phone! I got my latest hand-me-down and I'm not disappointed. The power is there for almost lag-free gaming on higher end games, the speed is there for the productive days, the camera is almost too good in comparison to my last one (A12). The A50 further cements my love for Samsung products

This being a third purchase of a Samsung phone I know I won't be disappointed  assamsung produ to very simple to use as well as there has never been a problem with the products

Absolutely love this phone I used to have the a20s it was a great phone too just needed a upgrade with more storage an camera the camera on the a50 is amazing it has options the a20s battery is better last longer loads quicker

Great phone A50

I bought this over a year ago, and I'm satisfied with what it can do; it has a great camera, ginormous screen and is easy to use in general. The RAM and built-in of this phone leaves a lot to be desired though, definitely wouldn't recommend to gamers.

It's a phone, and it does what a phone does

I upgraded from Samsung A5 (2017), the A5 had a flagship build quality in a mid-range phone. With the A50 (2019) a lot of previous amenities were eliminated, such as MST payment, IP68, and a premium glass back. The Canadian version does support NFC but not MST, so it can't replace your wallet entirely.

I'm a huge fan of Samsung's OneUI, it's one of the main reason I stayed with Samsung. The rear depth sensor works perfectly, their algorithm was able to bring flawless live focus to the front camera. Additionally, the video stabilization is fantastic, it's definitely better than my A5 (2017).The battery capacity is great; with 4000mah, it easily last for over a day of usage. The performance is good too, I was able to run multiple apps at once without them closing. To summarize, this is a affordable phone with flag ship gimmicks.

Cons:
-Low MP wide angle camera
-In-display fingerprint sensor
-Poor panorama stitching
-Plastic back cover

After using it for a few days, the triple cameras and in display finger print sensor is only useful as a conversation starter. The ultra wide camera is 8mp, the bad photo quality is hard to justify it's use. The in-display fingerprint sensor is truly annoying, it takes around one second to register and only work 50% of the time (even though I registered the same fingerprint three times). Additionally, the panorama function on the phone is bordering useless, as the software stitching creates a strong globe effect. This never happened on my A5 (2017). Overall, the phone feels very weak with a plastic back cover, I recommend a strong case with screen protector. 

The legacy A5 (2017) felt like a premium smartphone on the outside, while the A50 (2019) is a strong performer on the inside. At the end, it's still a great mid range phone. It's fantastic for everyday users who doesn't need high quality cameras or IP68.

Full of gimmicks with mediocre build quality

Before this phone I had a Galaxy NEO 5 and it was much easier to work with. If I double tap by accident, it blows up the screen and a pain to be it back to normal. Overall the finger controls are more difficult.  Not as smooth as the NEO 5.  Difficult to edit phone contacts. Settings to leave the light of the screen lite for 10 minutes doesn't work.

Average performance

not bad for a cheep phone however the lcd broke in my purse.. no cracks on phone still vibrates but will not turn on. i had glass in purse the same time and it was in tact aswell. disappointed as i just got it but overall id say its a good phone for elders

A50 stands for AGES 50+

I bought this July 16,2019  it wasnt 1 month old and it drops calls, top half over heats in under 5 minutes and as the result of someone  hitting  my arm hard while walking the screen shattered in 2 places.  I ordered  a replacement  and have now been talking on it for about 15 minutes and this new A50 is also over heating just on the top half.

I purchased this phone a week after it came out it hasn't even been two years and the amount of issues glitches lag end many other problems is absolutely ridiculous this phone is been giving me a lot more trouble and I had an easier time using the Apple iPhone 8

Terrible phone

Was so excited to get this phone. Unfortunately the charge cable did not work. Also I fell into a snow bank, my phone was in my pocket did not get banged but had a very small dime size of snow in my pocket , my phone and case were dry , but it was enough for water damage:( not water resistant at all. At the end of tge day I should have asked more questions but my last samsung was much better.

Wish I got a different phone
