I bought this a month ago and I am so happy that I did! The new Galaxy AI features are a total game changer. I use "Circle to Search" daily to find things I see online, and the Live Translate is incredibly helpful for work. It feels like the phone is actually working for me rather than just being a tool.

The smartest phone I've ever owned!

The Samsung Galaxy S24 is a polished, reliable flagship that excels through refinement. It's not a radical redesign, but it doesn't need to be. For users who value a compact form factor, excellent display, strong performance, and a dependable camera system, the S24 is an easy recommendation.

Refinement Over Reinvention

After a year with the Galaxy S24, here's my take:

Design & Build: Still solid. The phone feels premium and durable, with no noticeable wear despite daily use. The sleek design hasn't aged at all.

Display: The AMOLED screen remains sharp and vibrant. Colours pop, and scrolling or gaming feels buttery smooth thanks to the high refresh rate.

Performance: No real slowdowns after a year. Apps open instantly, multitasking is seamless, and gaming runs flawlessly. The processor handles everything I throw at it without breaking a sweat.

Battery Life: Battery health has dipped slightly, but it's still reliable. I get through a full day without panic charging, though heavy usage means topping up in the evening.

Camera: Still excellent. Low-light shots have held up well, and the zoom and wide-angle features are solid. Occasional software updates improved AI processing over the year.

Software & Updates: One UI is smooth and intuitive. Samsung's updates have kept the phone secure and added a few new features, which is a plus after a year.

Overall: The Galaxy S24 is still a beast after a year of daily use. No major issues, no regrets. It's premium, fast, and future-proofed enough to stay competitive for another year or more.

Rating: 9.5/10 – only dropped half a point for slight battery wear, but otherwise, this phone still dominates.

...and we'll see if the upcoming One U.I 8.5 update will make it even better.

Galaxy S24 – 1 Year Review

This model is a beautiful upgrade to my original Flip phone, which I still use as a spare! The new model, in a choice of colors enhances something Samsung has excelled in for years.

Perfect Upgrade

I bought my S24 expecting too much of it and wow it delivered and then some. It sucks that I had it stolen and couldn't afford to replace it. I thought it was an amazing phone don't know where to begin.

Easy to operate

I find this phone to be very reliable,  very technically up to par with other cell phones of this quality.  Feel very confident in recommending this phone, and it takes quality photos as well.

Samsung makes another great phone.

Everything I can think of having used it for over a year - about this phone is flagship, all except for battery life which I find to be quite mediocre (meaning that I don't get over 7ish hours of screen on time).

Quality Hardware but disappointing battery usage

My favorite thing about this honestly is how it fits my small hands. Otherwise, the camera sucks. Worst Samsung I've owned. I have had to to alot of updates for this phone and I don't know why it wants so many. But the phone does all the things it's supposed to do.

So far I switched from the s23 and I'm telling myself it was not worth it because they are pretty much exactly the same phone and I really hate the fact that samsung is pushing google messaging instead of improving their own messaging app. I hate that I can't modify my chat rooms anymore and half of the time I don't receive a notification while I'm driving

Nothing new kind of a downgrade

Does things I don't want. Doesn't show me emojis I always use. I have to hunt for them. Time consuming rubbish. What does AI have to do with a simple google search? I really don't want it to make crap up and that's the only thing that AI is good for. I liked the camera on my A5 better...and everything else, except that this S24 holds a charge longer. That's the only thing I can say good about it.
