It's very sleek, non-bulky, and perfect for storing lots of media. I use them for my Steam games, and the capacity is very sufficient. No issues with durability after several years!

Reliable!!

This little external drive not only boasts 1 Tb of memory, but also does the job of saving large files quite rapidly! I needed to update my previous 1 Tb memory which took more than three days and only saved 14% of my files at the end of a sloooow and painful process. It was probably due to USB incompatibility between my laptop and the memory drive I was using. This is how I got to learn about HDDs and SSDs. So, long story short, SSDs are the newer technology and perform much faster than HDDs. I’m impressed about this little drive.

Great little memory drive!

I thought external memory was a little high for new. Took phone to store and guy said What is this Tidal? Turned out I was downloading all of my tracks and albums. The total was 51 GB. Hit one button and it dumped all of the downloaded content to external then all of the content was hearted as favorites. Samsung phone A35 then had 51 GB of internal memory and worked like a new one. I didn't lose any songs as they were in phone and also to external hard drive.

Internal Memory

I ordered the Samsung T7 SSD on the strength of its brand identity, current ownership of three other Samsung products, and overall reviews that I read online. I love its size (easily fits in a shirt pocket) and two cables (one for C-to-C and one for C to USB). It is easy to set up but I recommend not attempting to activate the security mode for the drive until after you've rebooted. I am using this on Mac OS X Mojave and its transfer rates are documented to be faster than that of SATA hard drives. This is what I'm hoping for as I plan on using it as the work flow drive; I will store finished files as archives on the SATA drives and keep the SSD free of permanent files.

Samsung T7 SSD, decent price, reliable, excellent

My tech guy suggested this for my new computer as I store a lot of jpgs.  It backs up automatically every few hours or so, as far as I can see.

The first backup, with transfer of all of the photo files, took a little over an hour, but the subsequent backups took a hot minute.

It is solid, and my computer guy tells me it is a secure way to store my files, that they will not degrade, etc.  

The only downside I could see was that it got a bit warm during the initial transfer of data, so I set it on top of a screen to keep it cool.

Mighty Little Device

I tried to use this as a backup medium for the internal drive on my workstation, but after writing less than a megabyte the device reported an I/O error and the backup process hung.  I tried steps as simple as directly copying a small file to this device, but it always reports an I/O error and the copy process hangs.  Maybe I got the unlucky one in a million which is defective, but I plan to return it to a local Wal-Mart store.
