[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works great for myself. I am an average user. I have almost exclusively used this as a hard backup of my phone photo storage. While traveling I have felt extremely comfortable packing the SSD arround, I got a small protective case and have had 0 issues with my device with all of my travels. Transfers seemed extremely fast from my s22 and 25 ultra device.

Love my extra storage

Samsung US

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm extremely impressed with the Samsung Portable SSD T7 4TB. It's an excellent combination of speed, storage capacity, portability, security, and overall build quality, making it a great choice for anyone who needs dependable storage without carrying around a bulky external hard drive.
The biggest thing that stands out is the 4TB of storage. There's plenty of room for photos, videos, games, documents, backups, and other large files, which makes this especially useful for creators, gamers, students, professionals, or anyone who regularly runs out of space on their computer or other devices.
Performance is another major strength. The T7 uses USB 3.2 Gen 2 and is rated for sequential read speeds of up to 1,050 MB/s and write speeds of up to 1,000 MB/s. That makes transferring large files dramatically more convenient than using a traditional external hard driveI also really like how small and portable it is. The drive measures just 85 × 57 × 8 mm and weighs about 72 grams, so it can easily fit into a pocket, backpack, laptop bag, or even a small travel case. Despite being so compact, it provides a huge amount of storage.Security is another big advantage. The T7 supports AES 256-bit hardware encryption, which is a great feature for people storing important, private, or sensitive files. Samsung also provides its Magician software for managing the drive and keeping its firmware updated. The drive is also designed with durability in mind and is drop resistant from up to 2 meters, giving you some extra peace of mind when carrying it around. It works with a wide range of devices, including PCs, Macs, Android devices, tablets, gaming consoles, smart TVs, and cameras, depending on the device and connection........Overall, I think the Samsung T7 4TB is a fantastic portable storage solution. It's fast, compact, spacious, secure, easy to carry, and backed by Samsung's reputation. If you need a reliable drive for storing or transferring large amounts of data, this is a product I would definitely recommend.ending on the device and connection...

Huge Storage in a Small Package

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This SSD is very fast and easy to connect. I actually have two of them and will get another! It's very sleek, non-bulky, and perfect for storing lots of media. I use them for my Steam games, and the capacity is very sufficient. No issues with durability after several years!

Reliable!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked up the Samsung T7 1TB in blue a little while ago and honestly, I'm blown away. First thing I noticed? How tiny it is — fits right in my pocket and barely weighs anything. Don't let the size fool you though, this thing is a beast.

Transfer speeds are seriously fast. Moving large files, video projects, big folders — it all happens in a fraction of the time I was used to with my old portable drive. USB 3.2 Gen 1 really does make a difference in day-to-day use.

The build quality feels premium too. It's got this solid, sleek metal casing that feels like it can take a bump or two without freaking out. And the blue colorway looks really sharp — way nicer than I expected from product photos.

Setup was dead simple. Plugged it in, it was recognized instantly, no fuss. Works great across my laptop and desktop without any issues.

If you're on the fence — just get it. Whether you're a content creator, a student, or just someone who needs reliable fast storage on the go, the T7 is absolutely worth every penny. Samsung knocked it out of the park with this one. 🔵

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best portable drive I've ever owned

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pretty decent harddrive. Mainly purchased since my google account had close to the 15gb of memory used up due to years of photos. I was able to transfer all of that to my harddrive pretty easily. Consistent and fast.

Convenient and realiable hard drive

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased a Samsung Portable SSD and couldn't be happier with my experience. The drive is incredibly fast, making file transfers quick and effortless, while its compact and lightweight design makes it easy to carry anywhere. Setup was simple, and it works seamlessly across multiple devices. The build quality feels premium and durable, giving me confidence that my data is secure. Overall, this SSD delivers excellent performance, reliability, and convenience, making it a great investment for anyone needing portable storage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazing memory accessory. The generation 2 portable SST 4 TB USB Works amazing when it comes to transferring or Moving storage over from the device into the memory cartridge. After I was able to do the transfer my phone and device started working super fast I was able to be ejected safely while keeping all the data that was transferred on there safe and secured.

USB 4Gb Memory/ Device Optimization

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a Samsung fan and I truly believe they have some of the best products and this one is no different.

Awesome product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked how it everything worked as it should was able to I like how it was able to save everything I was looking for

Helping a friend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought the Samsung T7 Portable SSD 1T approximately 1 year ago, and it is one of the BEST Samsung products I have ever purchased.
Pros: It's extremely lightweight and small (especially for how much memory it holds), SUPER easy to connect to & disconnect from phones, tablets, and laptops.
Cons: If it's your first time using an external drive, definitely recommend using it first on a laptop, so that you can make sure it's formatted correct. I tried using it with my Samsung S24 Ultra and struggled to tell if it was properly formatted or if I was messing things up. It would help if there was a legitimate Samsung certified How-To video regarding setting up, first time use on a laptop, a phone, and a tablet since each device has different ways your supposed to "disconnect" the SSD.
Everything in-between: I know that the speed at which items are downloaded or uploaded has a lot to do with the devices as well as the cable that one is using to transfer the data. It took a LONG time to back up my pictures (I dont remember exactly how long) but I know I fell asleep while it was transferring just to wake up a few hours later with an "are you still there" type of message.... Not sure if this was from my phone or the SSD, but I was aggravated so I stopped backing stuff up for that day. I did use the cable that came in the package, but after researching it, apparently it's not the type of cable one needs to get the advertised data transfer speed. Lastly, I've definitely dropped mine at least 3 to 5 times, from various heights but no further that approximately 4 - 4.5 feet. There are some scratches from it moving around in my backpack (along with my pens and other like items) and Knicks from being dropped, however it still looks relatively new and still shiny!

The Good, Bad, Ugly, and all the in between!

DO NOT INSTALL "SAMSUNG MAGICIAN"!
Outside of Samsung Magician being little more than a useless utility that does nothing except report that it cannot find any devices (including the T7 SSD) and keeps making Mac security pop up and ask for a password, it's harder than a virus to uninstall.
Please don't install.
aside from that, the drive (SSD) is fast. When I got it loaded with a out 750 gig of files I clicked "Get info" for the drive. It calculated the space and number of files in about 15 seconds. Doing the same thing on the source drive (an actual platter type) took over ten minutes. Well worth the purchase price. If you've got a lot of large files to work with, then the T7 is money well spent. Just don't install the software; it's bad, real bad.
I'm not the only one complaining about the virus, ah, excuse me, Samsung Magician. Search "Samsung Magician" and you'll see. I installed it to get the updates to the device's system. It's up to date without the software.
Please, learn from my mistake and don't install Magician.
Other than that, this is a jewel! About the size of five or six credit cards stacked together (1/4"); connects via USB-c (comes with USB A-C %26 C-C cables) and is formatted ExFat.
You can't go wrong with this device (unless you install the software).

WARNING: Good drive, but it has as a virus!
