Good sound for the size. Volume range is from 0-30. I listen to it at 3-5 at a desk and also 12-15 outside. I does go a lot louder than I need it to be and that's perfect... Not pocket size but compact. Very well made. Picks up all the smaller stations in my LA area. That's why I bought it from previous reviews I read.

Well built, Easy to operate

We were looking for a portable radio as we live in a fairly active wildfire area, and are subject to power outages and evacuations. This is a perfect size, with excellent sound quality, stereo output, and runs either on AA batteries or an AC adapter (not included).  We are very pleased with our purchase, in addition to the fact that it has excellent AM reception.  Another feature is that there are up to 10 AM

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice radio. Good tone and volume for its size and can get loud if desired. It has 10 presets for AM band and 10 presets for FM band. Many other features as well. Sangean makes great products! My only negative comment isn't with the radio itself but rather the fact it seems either this one was either used or a return. Owners manual had folded over pages. Internal packaging was damaged.  That being said I like this Sangean radio and you will too!

DISSATISFIED AS WALMART DID NOTHING TO RECTIFY PROBLEM.  WILL ENDEAVOUR TO HAVE AD CORRECTED, BUT WOULD NOT PROVIDE ADAPTER EVEN THOUGH IT WAS CLEARLY STATED INCLUDED POWER ADAPTER.  GAVE THE RADIO 1 STAR, NO ADAPTER.

ADVERTISED POWER ADAPTER WAS INCLUDED BUT WAS NOT.

Did not include an ac adapter. display small and hard to see.

No longer usable. I was using the radio, and just before I was going to turn it of, it shut itself off. Now when it turns on, none of the controls work; as if it is in the locked position (but it's not).

Now just an expensive paper weight.
