I like the colors, bu,t when I had to sharpen them I found that they tended to crumble. The wood did not shave off evenly during sharpening which caused a lack of support for the actual color as well. The crumbling was so bad that I sometimes lost 1/4 or more of the pencil just to get to a place where the color would stand up to even light pressure of coloring. I tried an electric sharpener, and a small hand sharpener. Certain colors were better(not breaking as much) and some were worse than the rest. I was really disappointed in the usability of these pencils.

If the manufacturer sees this please please make some changes because though the price of your pencils are at the low end for watercolor pencils the breakage is so bad that they become much more expensive in the long run.

These were a gift for my grand daughter for her birthday - arrived in 3 days , well ahead of schedule - great colors and a great price !!!
