We have had this rack system for a couple of years now, and I (the wife!) have been using it for the last year. I was worried that it would be difficult for me to get the rack secure, but no problem! I have taken up biking pretty regularly, and this rack is great. I stick the excess strap length in the hollowed out cross supports and stick a rag in each end to keep them from coming out. I also bungee the front tire to the rack to limit movement while traveling.

I just got my rack and all the accessories and almost returned these because it didn't seem like I needed them. I'm glad I kept them because it made me feel better​ about driving 85 mph on such a long road trip with my bike on the back.

I was looking for a bike rack for my old BMW 318ti; after looking into some other ones, which did either not fit or were expensive, I found this one to be an affordable, light and practical solution.
                    Have not yet gone very fast or lingers distances with it, but so far seems to hold up well (with 2 large&heavy trail bikes on it).

I recently purchased a new car but was disappointed that I couldn't use the Bones rack on it since it was a hatch and not listed under the fit guide. I decided to give these a try anyway since I love using the Bones 3 rack. They worked perfectly and the rack is as stable as ever. Simple and elegant solution to my problem.

Why have this as an optional accessory? Include with all bike rack purchases.

Suggest not making this optional accessory

We have an Audi Q5 and the tailgate is oddly shaped, ruling out many trunk carrier brands due to their rigid clip shapes.  The Tree Hugger includes a very flexible design, which will work with just about any car type.  A much more affordable option than installing a tow hitch carrier. It also doesn't require me to lift my bike onto the car, which would be a major challenge for me.  Love this design.

Innovative Design

For our make & model of car other companies have no suggestions and will not even recommend the use of a rear bike rack. Saris to the rescue with this product that allows us to use one of their 2-bike carriers because of this adaptation. Thank you Saris!

These were a perfect solution for our vehicle!

Product works well with the Bones trunk bike racks. Easy to use and install. The product gives you a little more peace of mind with a 3 bike set up.

Hatch Huggers - Honda CRV

This works very well. It is necessary for the Saris Bones Bike Rack to work on my
                    Ford Escape. Only issue was the shipping was overpriced. I need to order new knobs for the Bike Rack but the cost of shipping is higher than the cost of the product.

Works great! Good retrofit for my Ford Escape.
